It's like that and it decreases with how many matches you play, since the more you play, the more the game assumes you're at "your optimal rank". At the end of the season those 100 rank points turn into a measly 40 per game, up or down. It does give you a bit more if you win against high skilled opponents, but I've surfed the whole Gold rank more then once now, and it's hard to hit someone outside of Gold there. I guess that it just has the most players.

Also, OP, :siren: PUT SOME SIRENS AROUND THAT PART OF THE OP ABOUT THE STARTER EDITION :siren: Also that part about everything being buyable with Renown is a lie - there are some skins that are locked behind R6 credits in the shop and can't be bought otherwise. But those are just some silly weapon skins, not operator hats.

And then you get Theme Park, where your teammates can't hold the 2 windows leading into drug lab (and bathroom) while you roam in trains and suddenly it's a 1v5 and they're capping :v:
I hate that map and it should have left the ranked map pool when Tower was released.

No, there is no such bundle, but you can buy operators separately for 300 R6 Credits per operator, and you get 600 for buying the starter. There will never be a bundle/upgrade pack/hotfix for the Starter Edition and it's a deliberate decision made by Ubisoft.

Basically :siren: DON'T EVER BUY THE STARTER EDITION :siren:

To drive this point a bit into the ground, when you buy the Starter, you get to unlock up to 4 operators, but every other operator costs 12 500 Renown or 25 000 Renown each. If you fork up the cash for the Standard edition, you don't get any operators at the start, but you can unlock all the basic operators with only 25 000 Renown (gradually unlocking them one by one), however the DLC ops are still 25 000 each.


As a side note, on any version if you are new to the game you should go into the "Play" tab, click the Tutorials and watch every video - it gives you 200 renown per video, and provides some very basic info on how tyo do stuff. You should also launch the uPlay overlay (Shift + F2), go into "Club Rewards" and find two things - there's another free 200 renown just waiting there for grabs never mind, it's not free, and there's a 24h renown booster, giving you a 100% boost for 24h, and 10% to all your teammates (it stacks, so if you got a new group, try to all launch your boosters at once for maximum profit).


EDIT: Additional info - if you played during the free weekend and got to unlock some operators, that progress WILL NOT BE SAVED ON THE STARTER EDITION, but will be on the Standard Edition.

There's no need to wait before playing with goons, just say you're new.

That's how I do bandit trick on Chalet, I shoot or ask someone to blast me a hole (shotugn holes scare the attackers) in garage doors and then reinforce over it.

But two shots into a barricade saves your life as an anchor a lot of times.

Eh. Going into the hard sci-fi direction with HEALING NANOBOTS isn't something I'd expect this season, I was kinda hoping that the Outbreak event will contain all the bullshit and we're back to realism with the operators, with tripwires or something like that. The Spear does look like if the XM-8 Fishgun was a bullpup which is a weird-rear end design, while I can't say no to a Drum Mag Vector.

I love how Finka gets Ela mine resistance but not Echo resistance, like that makes any sense. Ela will probably be still OP, but I like how they're adding a lot more counters and interactions, I hope they continiue to do so, maybe even for existing operators.

So there are two things that appear to be unmentioned but they are present on the TTS.
First is that all operator icons had a visual overhaul, making them higher contrast. A good change and it makes the CTUs more distinct from one another.


The second is that now when opening skins, the recruit icon is there as well, so maybe recruits are getting attachments this year.

Well after Outbreak drops, when you buy an operator you'll get all the weapon sights, grips and underbarrel stuff for free, and there's no word confirming that there'll be refunds for people who bought any of that stuff prior to the update. So there's one incentive to wait.

Guys, in case you're even playing outbreak, but have trouble with the big loving rushing Tank thing, fret no more - if you manage to fool him into rushing in a wall, you can run up to his back and smack his poo poo with melee.

Now you probably knew this - but, if like me and every single one of my friends had trouble doing so, the reason might be simple - you CANNOT use any other button than "v" to hit the Smasher with your knife. So if you remapped that to say, any of your mouse thumb buttons and got 200 hours of muscle memory that melee is "mouse 4", you might be having some problems.

Especially since the prompt will show your mapped melee button, but the game won't accept anything other then "v" :v:

It does reduce the stk on Forst, but it makes it laser accurate and it also removes tracers, so the person you're shooting at doesn't get an idea of your location until you hit them.

Huh, I've had a match simply not count. At the end of it there was some server hiccup, and we all got 0 renown, the party system fell apart and our chances for alpha packs were all dropped to zero. After restarting the game it appeared we kept out rank, renown and alpha pack chance like the match didn't count.

Which was cool cause we got owned :v:
