I'm not sure what it actually does / did, as I never used it in the past. I just updated to Firefox Quantum and to SALR Redux, trying to familiarize myself with what's available.

The bar icon is built into the normal extension for Firefox, so the separate bar extension is no longer needed/useful there; the OP needs to get updated for that.
