Not sure if SALR or Windows, but ctrl+Z is being inconsistent in the Quick Reply box. So far in the past few minutes it's 1) worked fine for this browser tab, 2) wiped out the entire reply except for the quote in another tab [and couldn't be redone], and 3) Had one step of undo before ceasing to do anything in that text box.

Probably missing something obvious. I'm migrating from Chrome to Firefox, and I think everything but the majority of user notes made it. Only 8 of those did. -After using store local, is there local file I can just copy between browsers? -I can't recall, is there a way to view the notes I've created to see how many dumb jokes or quotes I've tagged?

pik_d posted:You don't copy a file, in the old browser you go to Forgot to reply earlier in the week. I've done this a half-dozen times combined before and after your reply, but Chrome's version never has the user notes in the JSON block. But they're gone forever now anyway. It just went from 58 notes stored in sync to the 8 developer ones that are built in. Didn't restore anything that time, but I must've just miscliked while verifying what to type in this window. Oh well, no combination would make them show in the copy window. For comparison, they were instantly visible in Firefox when I made one a few minutes ago to see where they'd be stored in the text wall.

pik_d posted:Yeah a long time ago I had SALR eat my usernotes too. I still don't know if it was because I "stored local" or "stored sync" more than once or something, or what. I thought they would merge, but I think it overwrites, possibly even cuts and pastes? I honestly don't know. I just know they can get eaten and then you'll never get them back. The funny part is that they were still stored in there somewhere in the depths of Chrome and showing in threads, but weren't stored where they were supposed to be. Some virtual file system or wherever Chrome stores the sync files maybe. At least I wasn't doing it wrong, so thanks anyway.
