After March things fall off rapidly for the rest of the year until next December rolls around. can confirm. got laid off in october. didn't even get phone screens until december. actually started getting serious interviews in febuary as hiring managers stopped being on vacation all the goddamn time. finally got hired in march.

if i provide a cover letter it is usually a paragraph highlighting experience that doesn't really fit in my resume that is relevant to the posting

as a junior dev working with a few other junior devs i quickly found out that just indenting my code properly so it was readable easily put me in the top 10% of our work group

my last boss was soo good. for every feature request ever his first response was flat no. if a second request comes in for that feature he asked for a detailed spec before giving an estimate.

i am trying a different approach this time. i am starting by shotgunning my resume out to jobs that seem merely ok. then once i have refined my resume and interviewing skills again i will start specifically targeting jobs i really want. (i am very bad at resume writing and interviewing)
