i like the people i work with but i got stuck on a horrible “3 month” project that’s gonna take a year and probably perpetual maintenance duty long story short, ive been there a year. what is the shortest amount of time to be at a job before it doesnt look bad to be applying other places

it means you’ll be expected to work 65+ hours a week but also you’ll have to go through bureaucratic hell to get a confluence account, resharper licence etc

our lead architect’s interviews are terrible, like 60-70% is on c# trivia and minutiae. extension methods, null propagation, pattern matching, that kind of thing. the kind of poo poo that a competent mostly-java dev could be shown twice and remember, but flame out spectacularly on an interview
