 I made a thread about artist trading cards - the idea being to make a playing-card sized bit of art each month and mail it to another goon, and receive one in turn. Everyone should sign up!e:  "OK hand, this line is very important, just got to get this one line's angle spot on to make sure the whole plinth doesn't look skewed..."

I've been playing around with Unity instead of sketching, which also counts as creative work kind of, but I found time to finish my page o' hands. Mostly photos, copied a few fantasy type hand illustrations for variety as well. Hands are fricking hard.

 Its been almost exactly 2 years since I got my art tablet so I decided to redraw the first thing I ever made with it. I'm sure I could have made more progress if I had done more structured studies but I'm just glad I can actually draw the stuff I think up now.

Nah, I didn't mean to tie the rosette pattern into the form of the cat, just to be there to remind you that this is a Wild Thing. I considered tying it to the form, but since the patterns are usually mostly in the back, that didn't leave enough of them showing for my taste so I just went "yeah whatever" and spread them out. On retrospect, I should've just used them to show form in the void. So yeah, that's a kitty nose and lips on the head. Birdbutt birdbutt birdbutt WHY HAVEN'T WE GOT A BIRDBUTT EMOTICON?! I love this smug little bastard. Yeah, you think you know something I don't know? Well YOU EAT BUGS.

Oh, i picked up some water based brush tip markers that are really fun to use. theyve got a blender that i suspect is just a marker with water in it too. also used metallic gold and copper marker, and a couple acrylic markers in there. E: probably looks like highlighters because i really like screamy colours.
