Now I'm curious: How do the brake lines work for something like this?

This was my original thought. But really you're just trading cables for wires. And with bouncy bounce ride it's going to fatigue those wires pretty quick I'd guess. Maybe it could be routed somehow where it wasn't constantly straining them.
