Would you be my new best friends?

For me Smackdown was way worse last year than Raw, which is just depressing considering how good it used to be.

I'm so glad that the Dominion match won Match of the Year, it was so loving amazing.

Thanks Goog!

Really wished I’d switched around my votes for Enzo and Bray for Most Overpushed. Roman did not deserve to be on the podium there, as he hasn’t been anywhere near overpushed for a year now. They’ve been doing everything right with him, at least as of recently.

Roman has been being booked successfully for only like two or three months so far, or whenever his feud with Braun ended. The rest of 2017 was more of the same Vince McMahon wet dream.

well, ok, as 2017 went for Roman, he had a really good match with KO at the Rumble where he didn't lose clean, but he still lost and he was good in that match. I admit he shouldn't have gone over Braun at Fastlane, and the Taker stuff was just. eh. because of Taker's hip, but the rest of the Braun feud was fuckin great, and he ate the pin in quite possibly the best Summerslam main event ever (because of him, not in spite of him). The Cena match was good, and as you say he's been booked vvv well over the past few months, so idk how he's been overpushed except for the first Braun match and that WM main event (though in hindsight that was the best of a bad bunch b/c they weren't going to close off WM with Goldberg/Lesnar or that horrible Wyatt/Orton match)

at the very least he wasn't overpushed last year compared to 2015 or even 2016

Even if you think Roman was overpushed this year he doesn't come close to Mahal or Shane in terms of getting a push they do not deserve

This is pretty much where I come down. Roman is being pushed as the Absolute Top Guy, when in reality he should probably be a main eventer. That’s a little overpushed, but whatever.

Shane McMahon is being pushed as The Toughest Daredevil Ever, and Jinder Mahal is being pushed as a main eventer, when neither of them has any business being in the ring. That’s a lot overpushed.

If you tremble with indignation at every injustice, then you are a comrade of mine.
Jinder was a shoo-in for overpushed on, like, an historic level which I think helped temper the misplaced Roman angst. Even so, him coming in third ahead of Nia, Bray, Enzo, and Eli Drake seems absurd to me.

I'll make a misguided argument that when Enzo was moved to 205 Live it was the first time anyone gave a poo poo about the show even if Neville is better. And Neville is a weird situation due to Vince and WWE booking being generally crap

yeah, knowing now that he’s literally 205 Live’s only real draw, I’m not as fussed about Enzo’s booking as I was when I voted

only reason that I didn’t vote Eli Drake is that I don’t watch TNA

This is pretty much where I come down. Roman is being pushed as the Absolute Top Guy, when in reality he should probably be a main eventer. That’s a little overpushed, but whatever.

Shane McMahon is being pushed as The Toughest Daredevil Ever, and Jinder Mahal is being pushed as a main eventer, when neither of them has any business being in the ring. That’s a lot overpushed.

Yeah it's not even close there, but at least Shane has the excuse of being a McMahon, a part-timer, and a nostalgia for spotfests and falling off of very high things to make him a main event attraction here and there. Mahal may have been the most overpushed person of the decade, he really blows all the Roman pushes out of the water.

Also Shane's a fine enough talker that having him as a GM and doing lots of stuff on shows is basically him at his push level.
