The discount is real though. Angry Joe talked about it, basically with the game pass you get like $12 off the game to buy it permanently and you actually save $2 that way for whatever reason and basically get to trial it first. He said something like after 1 month of game pass this becomes active? Found a Microsoft employee citation for this meme https://twitter.com/aarongreenberg/status/957800557367799808 So because I started much later after release and have a 14-day trial, if I pay for 1 month at 9.99 I should get the game at $54. Not nearly as big of a discount as I thought on the full game, actually I pay $3 more this way, but it gives me a whole 1 1/2 months to decide if I even want to continue.
