Insect glaive is a lot of fun and switch axe seems entertaining but its combos are a bit weird... dual daggers maybe

Learn them all IMO. eventually. theres some fights throughout the games that i just prefer certain weapons for, and its a fun excuse to make different armor sets for differetn weapons.

all the weapons are fun. dual blades is easy, insect glaive is a bit harder to use but really fun and it’s a little more forgiving on monsters that fly too much cause you can do jump attacks on them

I would go hunting horn but I used it all through 4U and as a Scot I feel self conscious about playing up to stereotypes.

I'm mostly using switch axe now, the great jaggi one seems incredible for early game and I found insect glaive just a bit weak for single player... Can imagine the clouds and healing are really good for mp though. Are there guilds or clans or anything or do you just join friends manually? I want to get some imp hunts if there are PC peeps here.

I guess they've opened up all the rotational/time limited events for quarantine people because I just beat Xeno and have a million weird popups to hang out with Geralt and Moogles and take on a weird raid to fight a giant gold dragon lmao

Except for gold dragon those are always available (and you should skip them all)

To be honest I only reached high rank like last week so I'm just going to spend a wee while enjoying vanilla endgame stuff before going back to Bone armour again lol. Still need to hunt a bunch of the optional HR monsters since I focused on finishing the story first

prowlers are so drat fun once youve done all the BS of making a good one, which reminds me of doing like. EV/IV training. which is something ive also done for fun. so im in heaven.

I didn't try prowlers until like 350 hours in. They're a huge pain to make and all the prowler-specific quests are ultra trash but they have a really fun moveset and you can mix and match so many different skills to make like a sick rear end monster hunting Pokémon

iceborne CB is really wicked fun with the chainsaw install but i wish it had the adept CB sword charge guard point. even though it would be extremely OP.

broke down after getting smacked around by basic rear end g rank monsters and started looping the gathering quests. the basic 'elder' weapons are such a big upgrade, feel like a dope for not doing that immediately. thank you to all the vets who cut their teeth on the classic game's inventory management and gathering quests, they're a big pain in the rear end!
