TMS is really weird because it feels like the developer had this cool idea for a Persona game with idols but then the FE crossover project was dumped on him so he just put the bare minimum amount of FE into it to satisfy Nintendo

TMS#FE is good and I will rebuy it on Switch and replay it for 85 hours and maybe beat it this time. Also lol at Colin Moriarty saying the liberal cabal has no power, how's Kinda Funny working out for you bro?

Admittedly I've only played a couple of fire emblem games and never completed any of them but I always found the characters in the shining force games to be more memorable. There are only a couple of fire emblem characters I can recall off the top of my head but with shining force, which I've also only ever played a few of and never completed any of them, I think the characters stuck with me a bit more.

i remember the fire emblem casts way more but the awakening and fates casts arent great. fe9 has the best cast of any fire emblem game imo.

Awakening isn't exactly a great work of literature but I think it nailed having a likeable, memorable cast with enough variation that players of all stripes can find someone they love

Man, it is loving incredible how much of a lost loving art Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries' campaign is, the bouncing around taking contracts doing smaller scale missions like securing a convoy or raiding an industrial center combined with the day to day management of running the mechlab and tinkering with your giant robot tanks is really nice, and I wish there was anything else like it. It has a really nice flow that I don't think can be beat.

Got through the awful awful gauntlet inside, got outside, and then the game wants you to do the thing where you jump on his head to get an extra jump and THAT, I don't think I can do. I've never been able to get the timing right on that. I'm gonna keep trying for a while but the Oshiro head bop is one of the mechanics I have never been able to nail down

It's not as bad as you think, the hitbox to bounce on his head is pretty generous. Just practice a little in place and you'll get the timing.

I'm still not fully confident I figured out the timing and got through it via dumb luck, because you need to also be leaping forward while bopping his head. The secret to beating this C-Side was not believing in myself  The first room was way WAY harder though. The timing and positioning on that poo poo is SO loving tight if you're even a little bit off on either thing you will not make it. most recent news on that front is they had to hatchet two of the mechs out of battletech before it releases in april and when asked if it had something to do with harmony gold they said “no comment”
