The dome match was great, but Gedo made the wrong choice. Naito should have won, Okada winning really sucked the air out of the match. The crowd would have blown the roof off the loving place and Naito would be champ of the month quite handily. The people want a tranquilo champ, and they're voting for one...

It's kinda of amazing how much the WWE network existing and TV rights being the main revenue source has made people think that being a draw doesn't matter for being a champion (and it kinda of is true for the WWE unless TV money collapses)

The first month of the year opens with... a tie! And for the third time it's a "None of the Above" vote that takes the first place, though so far it has only made it to the top spot by itself once. Kazuchika's continued legendary run as the greatest current pro-wrestler in the world wasn't enough to get him a solo win, as a number of people were upset that Tetsuya Naito didn't get the win at Wrestle Kingdom. Many None of the Above voters gave a write-in for Andrade Cien Almas, who as the Champion of WWE's development brand isn't included on the monthly polls, while others wanted to vote for one of the Women Champions not included on the poll because of their lack of recent title defenses/feuds. But personally I think it all comes down to Okada now choosing to wear long pants - in any case, we have a tie!
