On Wild Wasteland, that doghouse where Gabe lived also contains a good reason to not take the Wild Wasteland trait: Stripe - a miniature Deathclaw that is effectively two regular-sized deathclaws stapled together.

You should definitely take Wild Wasteland anyway, but just bear that in mind.
