Colin Baker seems like an almost criminally nice guy to Doctor Who fans. Like, he should be under arrest for the amount of incredible good will he radiates for a show he was unceremoniously booted from through no fault of his own.Doctor Zero posted:
Whoa, that's cool! I'd thought she wanted to take a couple of years away from the role, but I am perfectly fine with her diving right back in. Must have been the Big Finish catering that changed her mind

Lisa Greenwood and him were at our table at the meet-n-greet and everyone else was talking with her, so he just turned to me and started chatting. It was great. Lisa was also really sweet. I’ve got to make a point to buy their audios. I don’t have enough BF six.

So since the old Doctor Who newsgroup was posted earlier I thought it might be fun to jump back to around the time Big Finish started doing their Doctor Who releases: Some people loved it quote:(WARNING! Hey guys, I want some feedback on this fantasy: I'm Tom Baker, and I'm writing down an incredibly raunchy autobiography and sneak it on unsuspecting forum goers who don't know they're about to get way more than they bargained for... then I drink a pint to celebrate. I don't want a drinking mate, I just want to get some feedback, and yes, I already have the beer, who do you take me for? P.S. : Honestly, that weirdo guy aside, those opinions don't sound so deranged or far removed from the range you might find here on SA.

The problem here is that you can't write dialog for Six or Frasier that sounds odd coming out of the other's mouth.

The Doctor: Ahhh. Applegrass! Niles: *smiling charmingly, with a lot of teeth* Oh, no thank you. I'm afraid the scent from fruiting plants wears away at my stomach lining. The Doctor: It's very popular in New Manchester. Niles: Did you say Applegrass? Can I take some home to grind into my bath salts?

The Doctor: Niles, come over here. I've been watching someone from afar for a while and I think... DON'T WAVE! Niles: But it's Maris! The Doctor: It's not Maris. I think it's the Master. Niles: Are you sure? The Doctor: We're some distance away, but it looks like a man. Niles: Could be Maris. The Doctor: He frightened off some bums. Niles: Could be Maris. The Doctor: From time to time his head looks more like a skull. Niles: Could be Maris. The Doctor: I saw him eating some sort of fried food... Niles: It's the Master. He really IS evil, isn't he?

And while Frasier, Niles, and the Sixth Doctor all interact, Roz and Peri swap dating tips; Martin and Evelyn Smythe bond over Martin's recliner; and Daphne competes with Mel for the title of "World's Most Annoying British Person".
