Not sure where this came from, but realized one of the things that I really like about GTA online compared to the millions of other online open world RPGs is that overall it's "fair". Your character doesn't rely on weird gimmick builds, or a real progressive system where higher level players have more perks at their disposal. Yes, there are differences between a level 10 and a level 100 but for actual gameplay those end up being slightly different regen rates, and a pretty miniscule difference to your HP and base armor. It's not like a level 100 has double fire rate, or different attack sets(fire vs necro vs nature in a fantasy world for example). Weapons are the same across the board, vehicles are the same. If you get owned in Los Santos, there is literally nothing stopping you from picking up that same load out to try for yourself. The only real thing that stratifies players is money, and that's only a temporary thing anymore.

There is also no reason to believe that account is actually the hacker, it looks like someone trying to bait people into paying them crypto. So far it has only reposted tiny snippets of source code that were originally posted on gtaforums.

i like how one of the playable characters in the leaked footage appears to be the famous 'florida man'. no doubt his crazy antics/hijinks will make trevor's shenanigans seem comparatively tame. hey, rockstar may be losing the war against hackers but they're easily winning the war against ludo-narrative dissonance in open world crime sandboxes.

If nothing else, it’s pretty quick payback especially on sale. 6-8 mini contracts. Each is 2 prep and a final, they can be solo easily. All are about 175k, one pays 300, each should also take less than an hour total. All of them have first Time bonuses of 100? 150k? So doing these once apiece you’ll be back to positive cash flow 1-2 customer car spots. They get dropped off w a spec sheet, you mod them for free and then driver to get paid There’s also a new variant of Simeon’s wanted cars, list of 10 on a blackboard, each pays 20k, clear the list and get an extra 100k For car mods, the shop bypasses mod level limits for chrome and rims etc

In addition to bypassing modification level limits it also gives you a flat 5% discount on all mods and lets you respray with 'classic' colors or your crew color for free. It's a good way to see what colors look good with what. Of note with the wanted cars: the $20k is a flat payout, no money taken off from damage, you get no wanted levels when you take the car, and there's a map marker when one appears. I've done a few of the contracts and I kind of hate them (of course I did the Lost MC one and can't be bothered finishing it), but just modding and delivering vehicles is a nice way to make a couple bucks with 5 minutes' work.

Yeah several of them are kinda rockstar bullshit. Union depository is the 300k job. Mini fleeca is robbing 6 banks, and mini prison break can be cheesed using a bulletproof car lol. The rest I typically skip on, other than doing em once for the bonus

I hadn't gotten any for like a month or longer after that update, but then I suddenly started getting them again and I think it had several queued up that I was "owed" because I'd get another as soon as I delivered one for like 10 times in a row.

Drive-by snipe 4 brake cylinders on a moving train while everyone and their cousin tries to shoot you. Luckily, the Auto Shop mission board lets you select between three contracts and a quick call to Sessanta cancels the current contract. Oh god, listening to MM and Sessanta. Get a loving room!

You have to be outside of the shop, but then you can call and cancel. There definitely at least appears to be some rarity levels to the RNG on what you reroll, but after a few you'll usually get the UD on the list again

Tried making a second character on PS5 and its giving me the option to do the $4mil 'career builder' startup despite transferring my character with $38mil in the bank. I'm gonna try it and hope my $38mil doesn't vanish. A couple of questions from the starter options because I haven't really played since pre-Perico: -an armored kuruma is 100% better than the nightshark, right? thinking of getting all the gun runner stuff upfront and I like the vibes of the nightshark but cant remember if it sucks -is it still universally accepted that the chumash bunker is the best spot? -whats the best nightclub spot? -is there any reason to have a pistol thats not the starter pistol, except for maybe the funny ragdoll space ray? -do weapon lockers still randomly stop working?

If you login to your main on PS5, you should have your 38mil - cash is shared between both characters. Hopefully when you get your 2nd character finished getting setup it'll also be there. If not you might need to contact Rockstar support. Kuruma is still a mission powerhouse, essentially fully bulletproof against mission/heist/job NPCs. Nightshark is more PVP as it can tank explosives, which NPCs don't use. Insurgent used to be the fun PVP thing, but Nightshark can eat more rockets than the Insurgents, and now some of the new Agency armored vehicles can eat even more than that. None of them are bulletproof like the Kuruma though. Chumash bunker. Some prefer Farmhouse. All others are trash-tier. Nightclub: Vinewood for some slightly quicker deliveries if they go up north. Pistols: You're 100% correct - you only need the AP Pistol (unlocks around rank 20-30 or so) the default pistol, and the Up-N-Atomizer. Something to be said about the new Stun Gun but that's for PVP griefing basically. All other handguns will just get in the way of finding your AP pistol. EDIT: Flare gun is good and fun too I've got every single weapon locker and have never had problems - however, they don't apply when you're in heists/missions/jobs. So just don't buy 26 pistols and you'll basically be set. Feel free to join us on Discord, even if you can't play with us, to ask us questions.
