Business battles can either be completely fine or absolutely terrible, depending on the other players. If it's the foundry, airport, or scrap and salvage ones and everyone else either ignores you or agrees to just split the goods, no drama, it's completely fine. When someone decides to fight over the cargo it sucks, when someone decides to grief it it's just misery.

I think nightclub sales got a huge boost anyway, I just sold (not with the one-time 2x bonus, mind you) a fairly empty nightclub and the payout was about what I used to get out of about 8-10 hours idling. I think the base value for goods went up.

Hi Pals! I've been looking for a new game and I originally played GTA V singleplayer way back in like 2018 but never got into the multi because I heard it was buggy trash. Is it worth getting into this late in the game, and if so is it still a hellscape if you only go in solo with no friends?

Well they've toned down the ability for wankers to mess your poo poo up for no reason lately and there's probably about 100-150 hours of content in the online if you want to private server it. Pubbies are still an absolute cancer and the average player age seems to be like 10yo. The economy kinda got fucky so its nearly impossible to grind missions up to a fun level without knowing what youre getting into. But they kind of throw money at you at the start now to ease that off. I followed this guys tutorials on how to get yourself sort of stable when I started solo and it was a chore for like 10 hours of grind but I can make a mill or so in a play session. Heists are very fun, especially Cayo Perico and if you know what youre doing you can do that whole thing solo.

The big update changes have been very much letting people play it without pubbie servers and hobbling the laziest styles of griefing and trying to get people out of a grinding gameplay loop. So I'd say yeah.

I started about two years ago and it was fine, even coming in late.

If you have the criminal enterprise starter pack that will help a lot, you'll start with $1million and be able to get a bunch of free properties, guns, and cars. You can open your phone's internet and check the realty sites and the car sites to see what's free. If you have prime you can link your account after doing the tutorial and get $125,000/week if you log in.

First things first, do the tutorial even if you know what you're doing, otherwise you won't be able to link your prime for free cash. Second thing, go to the casino and buy the membership for $5,000. They'll give that back to you in chips, you can collect $1,000/day in chips for showing up, and most importantly you can spin the wheel for free poo poo that can be extremely helpful early on.

I can't buy the machineguns for my Dewbauchee Champion in my MOC but everything seems to indicate I should be able to, do I also need to have specifically an agency vehicle workshop to unlock the ability to use them? Or am I mistaken and I need the workshop for this?

Due to inflation it's actually only about 30.

The imani tech thing is frustrating because they added the function of all the other garages to the arena garage, but then they keep adding more stuff that's excluded

Yeah in an alternate reality I could see it being a "realistic" thing where you have to shop around between different vendors for specific upgrades, but for this game you have to buy those vendors in the first place :argh:

I mean, yeah, it's an incentive to buy an agency, like a terrorbyte is hypothetically an incentive to buy a nightclub, and a mk2 is an incentive to buy a terrorbyte.

Honestly the agency requires a bit of work to get together but really pays for itself eventually and becomes a great source of both passive and active income. Front-mounted machine guns on one car are pretty much the lowest-tier incentive for owning one, both because they suck and you can put the same thing on a dozen other vehicles elsewhere.

Also I was doing a dang elimination security contract with my armored kuruma earlier and a bunch of the bullets were getting through. Did the kuruma get a stealth nerf or are they equipping some of the gang members with FMJ rounds?

NPC aim is absurd, they can and often will snipe you through the tiny window slits. But, the good news is that it's easily exploitable. Whenever you can, put the back of the car facing the bulk of the NPC spawns, they almost never attempt to flank when they have a clear shot at player's vehicle.

I've had a glitch multiple times where the heli was clearly headed to the spot out by the oil wells in the desert, so I went there and cleared the guys... and got a mission failed message. So the next time I followed the helicopter and watched it crash into the mountain on the way there.

If you're playing in private lobbies and are doing the cayo setup solo just join a new session crew or friends only if the mission starts and it tells you to go to Merryweather HQ. If you have the Kosatka as your spawn point you'll just respawn in bed and can start the mission again right away.

This is highly dependent on the vehicle and how your player sits in it. Even going all the way back there are non bullet proof cars that NPC's simply won't hit you in from certain angles because they always target the same place on your body. If that place is behind the hood or door then you rarely get hit even if the window is open. The opposite of that is that some cars, particularly trucks and SUV's usually have you sit higher where the NPC aim spot is free and clear and you can get blasted easily because nothing is between you and the bullets. On many "armored cars" with cosmetic armored plates the plates don't stop anything anyway, so drive them only for fashion reasons.

Long story short if you are getting shot through window slits it's not the AI aiming, it's the car. The AI always aims at the same spot. Just drive a different vehicle until you find one that works better. Some just suck the way they are arranged.

As an example from way back, when being shot from the front the Carbonizarre (I think) has you sit so low you can take a lot of fire and it will almost all hit the top of the hood and you can return fire and kill those shooting at you. This is because you sit very low in that car and the spot at which the AI aims is below the car's body panels.

AI aiming isn't magic, and you can learn how to get around it if you try. AI does not, at all, aim around armor or cover. They are either shooting you or not, there is no more nuance to it. Some cars are just bad for this.

All correct.

Low exotic cars, even early ones like the Adder and Zentorno, work best for being pursued by shooting enemies because they have small or no back windows.

The Kuruma and some of the Arena cars are better if you expect to fight from the vehicle, especially over the frontal arc. Weaponized cars even the playing field, but you have to be quick to aim the .50/minigun and even quicker to angle the vehicle for max protection.

Some of this is just how the game has to spawn enemies in from the front of you. Annoyingly, that means faster vehicles may not be better if you expect to be chased. Staying off the freeway helps somewhat. Matrix rules.

The delivery Speedo armored up is nearly ideal. Shame it weighs nothing. I have trouble squishing bikers in a head-on collision sometimes.

Honestly, I usually use whatever armored sedan looks cool. The Schafter V12 SWB is a great choice. Cheap to buy, faster than the Kuruma without that one's handling quirks, and seats four.

Note: the Stirling GT has been glitched as of this latest update. Totally bulletproof windows. Go ham.

Pffft absolutely! As close as I can get it at least! Impaler/Buccaneer are both in the ballpark. At work now so no screenshots. Impaler doesn't have the sunken in rear window so it looks off a bit. It's probably the closest though.

I actually have the cash for the chassis now and I'll be taking a trip to outside Chicago to talk to the factory and order it when I'm back from my vacation at the beginning of next month. Been saving for that for a couple years now.

Is a cargobob worth investing in? It seems like it'd be great for the missions like the excess weapons parts delivery if I could carry the truck across the map but wasn't sure if it wasn't great for use in online for some reason. I imagine it's a pretty easy target in public lobbies but that's not an issue for me since I'm only playing in private lobbies.

It's actually semi-annoying! Merryweather Mesa's: If they catch up to you, they ram you right in the butt, a la Hunting Pack, and can send you spinning if you don't correct for the change in momentum. You can't shoot behind you (because of the giant crate in the bed blocking your line of sight) but they can't really shoot you either, unless you crash or spin out. Don't let them catch up to you, though, and you won't even know they're chasing.

Does import/Export still spawn aimbot NPCs if there's no one else in the lobby when you're stealing a car? Or did the new private lobby settings change that too? I doubt it but figured I'd ask
