I just started my very first game (pre distant worlds). Within eight jumps of my starting planet, there are four perfectly habitable worlds, one of which is a gaia world. I take it that's pretty good...

My aggressive neighbours have not only managed to expand into the shape of the Paradox logo's head, but the 'mouth' is a black hole system named "Demons Maw"

Still plugging along at my first game, and I think I've been spoiled by a very lucky start. Hyperlane arrangement meant I could wall off about 20% of the galaxy and then back fill it into my own territory. Also includes a ruined ringworld (under repair) and Sience Nexus (now operational)
