I'll be traveling to Tanzania for work in early April. My team has already booked a safari (departing from Arusha), but I was thinking about extending my trip to go to Zanzibar and possibly get my SCUBA certification. I have no prior SCUBA experience, but I really enjoyed snorkeling and I hear that the reefs around Zanzibar are incredible. Does anyone have any recommendations for places and/or companies? Ideally I'd like to stay nearby the dive shop. Thanks in advance!

I'm not a diver so I can't give specific recommendations but from memory everything water-related on Zanzibar is on the eastern coast. I think your best bet will be to stay in the town on the northern tip of the east coast, though I've forgotten the name of it sorry!
