I recently switched to vs code, and have been using its tabness instead of the multi window mess I previously had. it is an improvement and I am satisfied with it.

i have never worked with another developer who understands how tab stops work, and most of them also do not know how to control the indentation settings of their editor. it must be nice but you shouldn't assume that everyone is so fortunate

like I recently took over a project where the owners attitude on indentation and line wrapping was "maybe" and spent a week going through it line by line to bring some kind of consistency and the team I handed off to is already mixing it up
