finally caught up with the show and untucked after a busy weekend. pretty good episode, even if the challenge was pretty awful. a sarah palin caricature is the standout character?! what year is it!? aquaria done good in challenge but done goofed that runway look. she looked forty at best, but i guess when you're young, anything over 30 looks old. i was surprised Cracker didn't really get slammed; i love her online, i love Review With A Jew, but god drat she needs to pull her finger out and win a challenge, otherwise she's gonna be forgotten among the bigwigs.

monet is doing good again and looking more like a contender for final three. her pre-reveal runway look was terrific. she could have worked that thing for a bit longer before giving us tube-sock nightmares. kameron's makeup and face was outstanding. it reminded me of those old man faces they use in jackass movies. just terrific. pity she blew the main challenge so hard.

the lipsynch was fine. nothing blew my mind, but the double-splits jump was a cool moment. i guess i get another week of bitching about eureka being a one-note pain in the rear end, though, so good job ru! keep the flame alive!

So much to talk about.
And so many things we can't talk about.

Alaska’s AS2 latex look was hella Pris-inspired I think!

Did i hear somewhere that Kameron is a special effects makeup artist? That's awesome.

I really love her and her personality. She feels like a queen i would totally be friends with irl. Also that mug out of drag, and those arms

That's funny, I actually considered mentioning this look when I wrote that post but (the other "almost, maybe not quite" look I had in mind was Alaska's latex look for AS2). Great minds, something something.

Truthiness!

It's been a whole year since AS2. I can't remember if Alaska really won it or if it was a coronation.

Alaska would have lost had Detox had her wits about her and eliminated her the next-to-last week.

I have seen Hurricane Bianca 2, and while I had fun I can't say it's a great movie but I'm a big fan of the screenwriter and I could tell his jokes were all over the movie. I expect I'd have had more fun watching it in a theater with a group of people.

Katya is a surprisingly good actor when he was able to be semi-normal, and there's one joke that killed me that I had no idea was coming and you are interested in the film you should see it before you get spoiled.

Was it better than the first? Because the first was pretty bad.

Edit: Why am I asking? I'm going to watch it anyway.

I never finished the first movie, so this wins by default. The story is crazier, and it has Katya and a whole bunch of fun guest stars, so that's a plus.

preview for the new ep is up!

more great brutal shade from Aquaria: "i mean it's that part of the song where everyone would do a split." then she spits out that she hates how Ru kept two people and starts drama with Kameron. fantastic, fantastic stuff. Asia meanwhile, representing the sensible sisterhood - which i would agree with wholeheartedly if i wasn't a petty, vindictive, drama-loving reality tv pain in the rear end. but then she delivers this brutal smackdown: "i think your perception of drag is limited to what you've seen on Drag Race." Asia, god drat, i live for you. salt and light in equal measure.

NYC queens representin'. Aquaria walks back her comments from the previous night, losing points from me. this show needs more Vixen-esque drama, none of this BEST FRIENDS bullshit.

macho-man mini challenge seems like it'd be made for kameron michaels. his deadpan as hell delivery is the best thing i've ever heard. "i believe that's doable" will be a meme by the end of the week, if ever i've heard one. Monet feels like a character from a key and peele sketch, and i mean that in the most complimentary way. stop the press tho! this mini challenge very nearly makes me like Eureka. she is pretty hilarious in it. big gay John Candy vibes.

then she wins, i go back to disliking her again, and she... presumably does something shady with assigning queens to their makeover partners? i guess we'll find out!

Sad as he's waaay more interesting and recognisable than anyone they did get.
I'd rather have had an evils of the internet challenge. Gimme a makeup challenge where the girls have to makeover Logan Paul, Keemstar, Onision and so on without jamming a brush through their eyesockets

I loving love Asia ranting, going to take a drink, then immediately putting the can down with 'No I'm not done'. Living. I'm not really surprised that Aquaria's going back into pass-agg bullshit now that Vixen's not around to yell at her... "I know other girls have said..." "Who?" "Well....I just know I'm not the only one...." Stop with that vague bullshit Aquaria just say what you FEEL. I don't mind her going back and apologizing for what she said, it's not very conducive to further drama but it's very mature and it's nice to see.

This loving mini-challenge is so good. Lmao at Eureka winning a butch challenge.

I have no idea who any of these social media people are, I'm Old now.

Though I thought the line about Aquaria only knowing drag from Drag Race, I don't think it's actually true. But it's a great line. Also, I'm not a big Eureka fan but she absolutely won that mini challenge, hands down.

Also, I believe's that doable.

No, I don't think it's true, either. I mean, just last episode we saw pictures of her performing with Amanda Lepore. She clearly does more than watch drag race and post on instagram. But it's cutting.

I have wondered if she spends much time with other queens outside performing, but it's kind of pointless to speculate on it.
