There were so many little details that made this a really great episode of drag race. I don't know which was funnier between the dramatic zoom in on the cactus during the cut to a commercial break, Vanjie being the safe word and Ru immediately cracking up when it's brought up or Monique pulling out another of those loving sponges out of her costume when Monet is told to shantae.

I loving love that she keeps the sponges on her like a loving totem every episode. I'm glad Kameron killed it this challenge, she or Cracker should have won. Im really done with eureka. No hair don't care.

Watching untucked how, Monet just has a really delusional sense of herself. I kind of dislike her. She just doesn't accept the reality of the critiques she's getting and nothing she's doing works.

I think Eureka can be extra and obnoxious, and kind of an rear end, but most of the time I like her-- sometimes quite a lot. She did really well this episode and I could have seen it going to her, Monique or tbqh Kameron!!! so nbd when she won. Mayhem should have won that lip sync imo. They were both good in very different ways, but Monet's was messier to me and she did the bike thing for too long and idk it was awkward at times, like it was too goofy. Mayhem was feelin' dat Shania, it wasn't the most exciting number but country songs never are on this show. Just happy they finally did Man! I Feel Like a Woman ffs. Oh also I love Kameron more and more every week. e: monet did do better than mayhem overall in the challenge imho and their looks were bad for different reasons. but i love me some mayhem, sad to see her go but at least she made it kinda halfway

Eureka's shtick is that she's fat and she does not let us forget it. Every sentence. This chair's going to break because I'm fat. I'm fat and need a smoke. It's annoying that she won for that because it's just going to encourage her more to wear it out (plus Monique and Cracker were better) I'm over Monet too. She drags her teammate's skills despite not delivering herself. By far the biggest disappointment so far.

I'm sad that Monet isn't doing well, but at the same time, I thought she was going home after that lipsync. It was just so messy and the gags were probably the main thing that kept her there. I don't know if she has any chance of winning anymore, which is disappointing since I had her as my winner pick, but I hope she does "redeem" herself in some way shape or form. Then again, if she gets eliminated at a lipsync, that's probably going to be legendary considering how strong her lip sync last week was.

I'm right there with you guys on team WTF-was-that-bullshit-striptease-lipsync. I was POSITIVE Monet was toast for that, especially since Ru has a habit of eliminating queens upon their second LSFYL. It was just so painfully awkward. The motorcycle didn't work and was far too long. The striptease made it look like her legs were caught in her pants. Wig reveals are overused and lazy*. Her undergarments looked terrible, especially the bust. Her dancing sucked. Meanwhile, Mayhem turned in competence. Ah, well. Eureka was meh. She didn't do anything wrong I guess, but her baby was as one-note as Mayhem's picklephobe. It was just a very loud one note, and an obese man dressed as an infant is always going to be funnier than a lady who's terrified of pickles. She isn't doing anything to distinguish herself. I mean, (Thailand) I thought Natalia was obnoxious but I absolutely understand why she won. Eureka doesn't have anything on these girls, I'm just starting to think that she'll go deep in the backs of othergirls loving up worse. *I like them when they're used thoughtfully, like in the maxi challenge. That was the funniest part of their skit, bless their hearts.

I do wonder how long Monet is gonna stay in the competition. She’s had so many confessionals, the most of all the queens IIRC. We hear her opinion on things so much that it feels like they’re angling her as the main narrator and those queens normally make it to the end I.e. All Stars 3 Trixie. Her performance so far has been pretty disappointing, but is it possible she has a comeback?

Eh I thought Monet's lipsync was fun. I can see why she won and Mayhem didn't. That said, someone better knock her down real soon, cuz she is not nearly at the level of the other girls. Even Vixen has had some great outfits so far - tonight's jean dress, the plastic fan bikini, and that great peacock one stand out for me. Monet has had a fun first impression, a great personality, and good lipsyncs, but her acting and fashion sense are super subpar. Also, I completely agree that Eureka's performance was not winner-worthy. That challenge belonged to Cracker or Monique, especially given how boring Eureka's runways continue to be. Also, I gotta be honest - it's not just that she ***constantly*** reminds us how big she is, it's that she frames it like she's doing some kind of service for dragkind by doing moderately well on drag race. Like yeah, it sucks to be bullied for being fat, but c'mon girl, this maaaybe shouldn't be framed like a win for social justice, especially with the Vixen waltzing around serving legitimate critiques of racial narratives? Not to get too paranoid, but it seems like the judges are leaning into the Character Arcs over actual substance pretty heavily this season - I didnt think Aquaria won last week for any reason except to pit her against Cracker, and Eureka seems to have gotten a free pass this week for symmetry with last season. Is snatch game next week? I can't imagine Aquaria doing an impression of anyone on the fly - snatch game is essentially an improv challenge, and i noted that her strongest moments in the improv challenge this week were things that she prepared ahead of time. Same for the Vixen and Monet, who rely on their personalities to coast by. Right now I'm rooting for Cracker, Kameron, Asia, and Monique for top four. Yeah, Blair got really lucky again this week. I thought her talk show performance was worse than anybody's (awkward, dry), and her runway was just okay. I'm not complaining too much because she's fantastic, but she needs to step it up. If nothing else, she'd be a solid Miss Congeniality.

This ep kinda turned me around on Eureka a little, and Vixen as well. They both probably still won't be my favorite queens, but at least now I understand where they're coming from. The hazards of trying to get to know someone through a filter I suppose. That being said, Miz Cracker got totally robbed. Eureka's performance was fine but it was a little one-note, while Cracker's was more creative and flavorful. Plus I thought the lack of makeup and wig was uh, a choice. Also Kameron completely should've been in the top 3, I'm guessing they're trying to sweep her under since she doesn't give the producers much to play with. I didn't expect Mayhem to go at all, I don't think Ru wanted her to go either, she looked reluctant to send Mayhem go. I still thought Monet did better than Mayhem in the lipsync, since a messy and entertaining performance edges over a polished but sedate one, at least for me personally. Still, the short wig and the clothes ripping thing didn't look good at all, even though I liked the punk rock schtick she went with. Miz Cracker better get a win soon, it's way long overdue for her.

Lucha Libre is not Alaskan Summer Realness and there was hardly (if any) eleganza in her Martian look. I mean, obvi they were fierce, but Mayhem got read because her pink dress didn't read as denim last night. Aquaria should have been, too, imo.

Well drat. I totally thought Mayhem would make it to the end. Admittedly she peaked in episode one and fell kinda flat since then, but still, I would've preferred to see her stay over Monet. Mayhem might've been able to pull it together eventually, but Monet doesn't seem to have the self awareness needed to even recognise her gently caress-ups, let alone improve. side note: I watched Grey Gardens for the first time and now I'm even more impressed by Jinkx's snatch game. She seriously nailed that Little Edie impression.
