- Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman opened the show. Heyman mocked Roman, who had claimed he was here week in and week out but now wasn't here two weeks before Wrestlemania even though his suspension was lifted (presumably because of the beating Lesnar gave him last week). As he continually ran down Roman for being a coward, Roman showed up in the crowd and came down to ringside, where after a brief back and forth Lesnar was able to get the better of him and then used the ring-steps to completely thrash the poo poo out of him. He left, then came back and beat him up some more.
- After a commercial break, Reigns staggered backstage without assistance.
- Nia Jax defeated Mickie James. Afterwards Alexa Bliss jumped her from behind and attacked her. Nia chased her from the ring and called her a bitch.
- A video package of HHH and Stephanie played running down Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey. They played up how much Stephanie and HHH work out, and showed footage of HHH defeating Angle back during their prime eras. Stephanie claimed that Ronda looked vulnerable last week and she'll soon teach her who is the boss.
- Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali defeated TJP and Drew Gulak. Alexander had the match won but Ali tagged in to get the pinfall instead. The two acted like everything was okay but the idea is that there is a little tension ahead of their Cruiserweight Title match at Wrestlemania.
- The Miz tried to do a MizTV segment that fell apart when Seth Rollins showed up and sowed discontent with the Miztourage, tricking Bo Dallas into talking poo poo about Miz. Curtis Axel calmed it down but when Miz said he would be a greater Intercontinental Champion than Mr. Perfect he got pissed too. Finn Balor joined Seth to push the Miztourage's buttons, but it ended up being a ruse with Miz and the Miztourage being on the same side and taking it to Rollins and Balor three-on-two. Gallows and Anderson rushed down and fought with Bo and Curtis to the back, leaving Miz alone to face Seth and Finn. He bailed and left the IC Belt in the ring, and Rollins picked it up. Balor saved Rollins from being attacked by Miz, then took out Rollins himself and posed with the belt.
- Kane did a backstage interview claiming that Cena was going too far and there were some demons you shouldn't call out, and tonight he would take Cena straight to hell.
- Asuka's opponent for tonight - Jamie Frost - claimed backstage that Asuka wasn't ready for her.
- Asuka was ready for Jamie Frost. Jamie Frost.
- Michael Cole seemed reluctant to review last week's beautiful Ultimate Deletion, though Corey Graves was more than happy to do so. Matt Hardy claimed that with Bray Wyatt deleted, he could now set his sights on winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
- Bayley and Sasha argued over the nature of their friendship, with Bayley saying Sasha prefered a passive friend who was just along for the ride and didn't think for herself. Sasha said she did what was best for herself and if Bayley did the same maybe people wouldn't think of her as a loser. Banks attacked Bayley and they fought briefly before being broken apart, though Sasha was able to break free and they fought a little more before being broken up again.
- Sheamus and Cesaro demanded to know who Braun's tag partner at Wrestlemania would be. Braun told Sheamus he'd let him know only if Sheamus could beat him. They fought but Braun won.
- Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey came out to counter HHH and Stephanie from earlier. Rousey claimed Stephanie was only "personal trainer tough" and she was going to rip her arm out of her socket. Absolution came out and Paige warned Rousey she would need friends if she wanted to survived in WWE, and offered Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville as backup. Rousey declined, so they tried to jump her but Rousey beat them both up and threatened to snap Rose's arm until Angle convinced her to let her go.
- Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows defeated The Miztourage in a tag match.
- Elias did a concert dunking on Cleveland, then defeated Rhyno in a singles match. Afterwards he attacked Heath Slater as he was checking on his partner.
- John Cena came out with an Ellen Degeneres towel (seriously!)
- John Cena defeated Kane in a No Disqualification match. Cena borrowed several signature moves of the Undertaker, including the sit-up, throat slit and chokeslam. Kane suplexed Cena into a guardrail which bent, and tossed him across the ring through a table. Cena AAed Kane through the table to get the pin.
- Cena was furious not to hear the GONG or see lightning or the arena go dark, indicating the Undertaker was not showing up. He demanded to know where Taker was, and when he got no reply he lifted the mic to the crowd who began chanting "UNDERTAKER!" Cena said he knew Taker wasn't deaf, just a coward, and every week the crowd was chanting his name but he refused to answer. Cena refused to take silence for an answer, he wanted either a Yes or a No. The crowd did the YES! chant and Cena said that if it was no, he could live with that, but the crowd wanted the Undertaker, so he needed to do something because there was only one week left.

- A recap of Daniel Bryan's return, and the firing of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn which lead to the beatdown of Daniel Bryan.
- Orton and Roode came down for their tag match against Jinder and the surviving Singh Brother. Jinder claimed Singh was injured, but he had found a replacement in Rusev. The crowd erupted with delight to see this heel.
- Jinder and Rusev defeated Orton and Roode. Jinder shoved Roode into Orton, who took it personally and RKOed Roode only to get knocked out by Rusev who pinned him.
- Jinder was thrilled backstage and thanked Rusev for his help. Rusev informed that him since he had just pinned the US Champion, he was going to ask Daniel Bryan to make the US Title threeway into a Fatal Fourway including himself.
- Nakamura met with AJ Styles backstage where he trolled him by saying he felt AJ was having confidence issues, then asked him to have his back in his match against Shelton Benjamin tonight so they could be sure both were at their best at Wrestlemania. AJ acknowledged that Chad Gable would probably be hanging around so agreed he would be there to keep an eye out. Shinsuke's English was noticably better than usual.
- Becky Lynch defeated Ruby Riott despite (or perhaps because of) interference from Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan. The latter two tried to jump her after the match but she knocked them both out of the ring.
- Daniel Bryan came out to wild applause and chants, and informed everybody that as General Manager he needed to make an important decision. He had decided to give Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn one last chance: at Wrestlemania they would face him and Shane McMahon (who is currently choking to death on his own poop) and if they won they would get their jobs back, but if they lost they would remain fired. The crowd was actually noticeably booing the idea of Kevin and Sami getting their jobs back, which is pretty amazing.
- Bryan tore off his blazer and said he was sick of being in meetings and having to consider finances and the like, he just wanted to wrestle and at Wrestlemania he was going to kick Kevin and Sami's asses.
- Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin did a phone promo complaining about not being booked at Wrestlemania, and Shelton said he would take his opportunity against Shinsuke tonight.
- Rusev is officially part of the US Title match at Mania.
- The Bludgeon Brothers won by DQ against The New Day after the Usos rushed the ring. Usos and New Day provided a united front against the Bludgeon Brothers.
- Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyler Breeze in a fun match that featured Fandango running away from nobody.
- Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Shelton Benjamin, aided by AJ Styles preventing Chad Gable from getting involved. After the match, Shinsuke got on the mic and explained that he didn't need AJ's help and only wanted him out there to see how he was going to beat him at Wrestlemania. AJ got upset and shouted that Shinsuke was the best outside of him, but at Mania he would prove that this was the house AJ Styles built. Shinsuke taunted him, saying he was too emotional.
- After Shinsuke left, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin jumped AJ. Shinsuke rushed back to the ring and fought them off, then teased the Kinshasa on AJ before pulling up short, laughing, and patting AJ on the head before heading out of the ring again while a furious AJ was left behind.

The undertaker should show up but just keep saying "what" no matter what john Cena says or anyone else says. Keep on saying "What" and yelling it.

John Cena talking poo poo about a WWE Legend who just wants to gracefully retire and stay at home with his kids. John Cena waited until a WWE Legend had hip surgery and is old and broken down instead of having the balls to challenge him at any Wrestlemania over the past decade.
John Cena is a coward and a loser. This is a good build if he's just going to get his rear end kicked at Wrestlemania like he should.

Maybe he'll really shake it up and use a seventh jumping clothesline that looks like a superman punch but we swear it isn't.
A Superman Punch is when he jumps to the right, a clothesline is when he jumps to the left. Duh.

Never going to happen booking: Cena shows up at WM still wanting the Taker match. Nothing ever happens. Just when Cena looks like he's about to break, Cult of Personality goes off and Punk comes out and slays Cena with a promo, then beats him in a match. Cena contemplates the future.
What actually happens: Rusev comes out being entertaining but making a fool of himself, loses in 5 seconds.

Considering he literally can't use his finisher as long as he's on Raw, not much else to do with him.

I like the loud cheers when Heyman announced Roman wouldn't be there.
Also it'd be great if Taker didn't show up until the RAW after Mania and chastise Cena for trying to ride his coattails into a big money match.
