Looking at it, the options for Cosmic shard farming (pre-Cosmic campaign) are Gamora (Nexus 2-9), Korath the Pursuer (Villains 5-9), Kree Cyborg (Nexus 3-6), Kree Reaper (Heroes 5-6), Nebula (Heroes 4-9 and Nexus 1-3), Ravager Bruiser (Heroes 4-6), and Yondu (Heroes 1-9 and Nexus 6-9). Kree Noble is farmable but not until Cosmic which sort of defeats the purpose of farming for the Cosmic campaign. Drax is limited to the Arena Store, Kree Royal Guard and Ravager Boomer are limited to the Blitz Store, and Thor, Ronan, Kree Oracle, and Ravager Stitcher are all limited to the Alliance Raid Store. (Rocket Raccoon and Ultimus are only in Ultimus Orbs outside of Rocket's event that not every account has gotten) Drax, Gamora, Nebula, and Yondu are probably the ones to shoot for in a reasonable timeframe, with probably Ravager Bruiser or Korath filling in the fifth slot while working on Thor if you haven't pulled any other cosmics by then.

This was the support response during soft launch and as far as I can tell it's still holding up post-hard launch. Either your account gets the Rocket event or it doesn't. But hey, if you don't you might get, like, a paid offers package that the Rocket event-having accounts don't get! Or maybe they do, too!

New Leaf posted:Totally different subject, every time I see an enemy Iron Man and Captain America they do the move where Cap puts his shield up and Iron Man reflects the beam off to hit your entire party, and it calls it a Team-Up.. Is that a special move that only activates when the two of them are together, or is it just one of Iron Man's moves that gets a special animation when Cap is around, or does Cap actually buff the attack..? The only other characters I'm off-hand aware that directly boost each other are Rocket Raccoon and Groot.

Patch notes are up.1.1 Release Notes posted:Thanos has emerged from the cosmic shadows, and his arrival on Earth could spell disaster! I know it was a very, very brief moment in a forgettable story in the comics but it's still actually a shame Crossbones lost his Inhuman tag, it was mechanically useful for him, because his Focus is kinda crummy, and that's the stat he has to roll on to apply his Offense Down on his basic, so Quake's +Focus for Inhumans actually benefited him.

Patch is out for at least iOS, though maintenance is still in progress. There's a video on Thanos stuff by this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC0X-iT2pkM Basically, to get Thanos, you need Infinity Orbs, which ONLY have Thanos shards in them it appears, but random amounts. You get some for going through an Event, but to get more you need to do Thanos Alliance Raids which go up to LEVEL 60. Thanos himself is a Villain Cosmic Mystic Protector. Basic is a punch that gives him Counter. Special is a blast that inflicts Offense Down and Taunts. Ultimate is an AOE drain attack that can't miss. Passive gives him extra Resist when he Taunts, plus gives him and Black Order allies energy when he kills someone. He's on the slow side at 94 speed.

Game Informer interviewed FoxNext a few months ago. The usual kind of talk for this, but they discuss getting the X-Men license for the game (and how Marvel's basically not giving out Fantastic Four to anyone, rip Gaz). quote:Does the X-Men license loop in Deadpool?

Starting tomorrow (or more precisely, in 22 hours and 51 minutes), there's a Flash Event - Payday. Using Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes as precedent, it'll be a once or twice monthly event, rather than the cycling daily challenges. Gives another target for roster building, in this case, a Mercenary team. This one's going to be pretty useful - it's a Gold payout. As of now, there are seven Mercenary characters in the game: Bullseye (Heroes 2-6, Villains 1-3) Deadpool (Deadpool Raid Orbs only for now) Korath the Pursuer (Villains 5-9, Cosmic 3-9) Mercenary Lieutenant (Villains 3-3, Nexus 6-3) Mercenary Riot Guard (Blitz store) Mercenary Soldier (Raid store; on rotation) Mercenary Sniper (Nexus 4-6) The requirements are a full team of 5 at minimum star levels from 1-6 (there's no tier that needs all 5 to be 7*), so it's unlikely many will have enough starred Mercenaries to go higher than tier 2-3 this go around. But it also looks like while the event's active (at least this time), the Campaign levels will have double drop rewards for the 4 Mercenaries you can farm (Bullseye, Korath, Merc Lieutenant and Sniper) for the duration of the event (24 hours), so it might be useful to prioritize them when it goes live.

Gold Orb shards are one-time completion rewards, lump sums of gold are repeatable. You can more or less defray the cost of ranking a Merc team with the initial winnings and have it all be profit when the event repeats.

Hebrons has done it, a 100% Ultimus 50 and a 60% En Fuego. Big leagues! Speaking of Mercenaries, someone found out that Mercenary Riot Guard had a pretty big undocumented boost - the level 4 passive increases block chance by 5% and BLOCK AMOUNT by 25%. This puts him at 50% Block Amount, which is ahead of anyone else including Captain America. Combined with his "every other turn" taunt that keeps him in constant Defense Up and he is quite the wall.

Iron Man time. If anyone's unfamiliar with Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, this is pretty much a 1:1 of their Legendary Character events. They're cycling events that are less common than, say, the Mercenary PayDay event, but they do come back. The trick is that you need specific teams/characters all at star levels up to 7*, and this is how you fully complete the Legendary Character. Iron Man unlocks at 310 shards, so you can only get him playable if you can pass Tier 5 of the event (and you can't use him to get more of his own shards, since he won't qualify for Tier 6 or Tier 7). S.H.I.E.L.D. characters available right now: Black Widow: Premium Orbs only for a reliable source, but also frequently Blitz Event Orbs, as well as Mega Orbs and Ultimus Orbs Captain America: Heroes 6-9, Nexus 5-9* Hawkeye: Heroes 6-6, Villains 1-9 S.H.I.E.L.D. Assault: Nexus 2-3, Raid Store (rotates) S.H.I.E.L.D. Medic: Heroes 2-3, Villains 1-6 S.H.I.E.L.D. Operative: Heroes 4-3 S.H.I.E.L.D. Security: Heroes 3-6, Arena Store S.H.I.E.L.D. Trooper: Raid Store (rotates) Quake: Arena Store *There's a bug that helps immensely with fighting Ultimus- if your own team you bring in is dead at the end of a fight, but guest characters are still alive to finish it, it will be considered a 3 medal clear. If you can keep the Operative alive long enough to hit the button 4 times but your own team dies defending her, you'll be able to auto-win. Might be easier than trying to survive legit. Black Widow's probably out of reach for most people, everyone should be farming Quake already, and Captain America and Hawkeye are very good. That probably leaves two slots: S.H.I.E.L.D. Operative is probably the best generic, but Medic's the quickest farm. The others compete for tickets outside of single campaign nodes. This event WILL repeat (perhaps seasonally?), but it's probably fairly likely we'll see the Red Skull event before you can get a full S.H.I.E.L.D. team at high stars if you haven't already been working on one.

Merc Pay Day is back in a week. Looking good for a monthly recurrence, though two in a row don't necessarily confirm a pattern.

Temper your Thanos expectations. Unless your Alliance is 100% the level 60 raid, you're only getting Mega Orb fragments for rewards. Which is better than nothing, to be sure, but you're probably not going to make much if any headway on Thomas.

Turns out the Hand event will be for gear material. And Star-Lord's legendary event will require Guardians and/or Ravagers! So... for Quill: Drax: Arena Store Gamora: Nexus 2-9, Blitz Store Groot: Groot Blitz Ravager Boomer: Blitz Store Ravager Bruiser: Heroes 4-6 Ravager Stitcher: Raid Store (Rotates) Rocket Raccoon: Rocket's Red Glare event, Ultimus Orbs Yondu: Heroes 1-9, Nexus 6-9 Gamora is top-notch and should be a priority character anyway, Drax is a decent tank who unfortunately competes for Arena tickets with Quake, Yondu is an excellent character to farm... and the other two Guardians can't really be reliably attained in an affordable budget, so that leaves Ravager Minion filler. You may be well familiar with Boomer and Stitcher from Yondu summons, and both are at least serviceable in their niches. Problem is Blitz and Raid tickets are contested and the latter is quite susceptible to the whims of the RNG for availability. Bruiser is an odd fellow that can self-heal at least every other turn but tanking is a roll of the dice that tops out at a 70% chance on his basic. Still, he might currently be the filler of choice if you can't divert tickets to the other two. On to the Hand: Elektra: Heroes 3-9, Nexus 3-9 Hand Archer: Arena Store Hand Assassin: Villains 5-6, Nexus 7-6 Hand Blademaster: Villains 3-6, Nexus 5-3 Hand Sentry: Raid Store (Rotates) Hand Sorceress: Heroes 2-9, Nexus 3-3 Nobu: Premium and Mega Orbs only for now Elektra has a starter event and is a reasonably easy farm, though she's also somewhat weak for a marquee character. She does have Hand synergy though, starting someone with an Evade from turn 1; definitely worth farming for this event. Nobu is going to require luck and/or money, though if/when you DO get him he's an ideal Hand leader. Since the rest is Minion filler, it's lucky that they happen to be pretty strong. Archer hits fairly hard and has one of the highest Focus values for stripping buffs in the roster. Assassin hits hard and heal blocks like a mini-Winter Soldier. Blademaster can double-hit like a mini-Gamora. Sentry makes the rest of the team invisible AND gives them an Evade to boot; he's a terror paired in Arena and should serve well as an unorthodox tank for the Hand. Sorceress heals, gives most of the team Defense Up, and spends a lot of time invisible. All of the Hand are reasonably fast to very fast. It's a shame Nobu and Sentry are so hard to get, and that Archer uses Arena tickets. But you'll need a team of 5 so you'll have to pick up a 5th somehow.
