I was talking to one of my Indian friends on the weekend he told me when his dad was younger his friend was driving him in rural India and the friend was drunk the friend struck someone and killed him the villagers came out and demanded money for not reporting it the cops found out anyway and demanded a bribe they ended up paying $40,000 to get out of it
