same and i use opendns for my servers after that but this 1.1.1.1 business is interesting me, i just cant find any real discussion about it here

also for piholing i have about 172k filtered addresses, but people have like 2M, wtf are people filtering or is that just garbo filters like *.freehosting.co.russia where they filter a-zzzzzzzzzz combinations?

2001:4860:4860::8888, i.e. Google IPv6 public DNS has a better latency than IPv4, assuming you can get a real IPv6 connection.

Moved one of my clients to 1.1.1.1 this morning and just moved my home to it will see what happens. My guess is I won't see any meaningful difference from 8.8.8.8.

pihole: I have 123k addresses on block list, basically just oob and had to whitelist some thing for my wife's solitaire to work

"Wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids -- no, I really mean it." Biden said.
My pfsense vm which puts it through a gently caress ton of ad block lists and poo poo then forwards it to my server 2016 box running dns which basically only knows about my domain computers so kinda need it then it forwards it to the root servers

I think I may have used something like this when I was on dial-up. Combined with a http server on 127.0.0.1 so the browser wouldn't sit there waiting for every request to time out.
