That 'How to talk to girls at parties' trailer is probably the first A24 trailer I'm not sold on. Feels a bit too much like Neil Gaiman's teenage fantasies set to screen to me, and I like Neil Gaiman.

That's the only thing I really liked him in so far yeah. I don't think that movie is for everyone, it is mostly a callback to an older style of making movies, but I really enjoyed it.

Embrace the Serpent came out around the same time, dealing with a similar subject, and it is superior in every way though.

Also Venice is looking pretty decent compared to the post-snap shithole the United States had become.

I'm not usually that guy, but when Florence Pugh's character does her weird neck-grab jump at 1.41, and her opponent somehow manages to fall in the opposite direction she's pulling him it looks like some Buffy the vampire slayer level of action choreography.

From your description I knew immediately what show it was, we watched it in Belgium as well. Here's a clip with the music playing. For the uninitiated, Bassie & Adriaan is a show about the adventures of a circus clown and a trapeze artist. The clown is always wearing his clown outfit and makeup.

The government and/or MI6 will never be the bad guy in a Bond movie. Never ever.

I always felt that skyfall was pretty explicit in making MI6 (as personified by the Judy Dench character) the bad guy. The plot of the film is literally her going to orphanages, taking kids and turning them into murder machines. It also ends in typical bond fashion, with the assault on the villain's lair where she is killed. And then SPECTRE ignored pretty much everything that made skyfall great, so whatever.
