I'd definitely rather just a malfunctioning AI toy or whatever than them trying to redo Brad Dourif's thing.

Looks like there might be multiple Chuckies, theres loads of boxes strewn about in what looks like a storage room, and cant see just 1 of them terrify a mall/store full of people that you see later on.

Ruined indeed, now I know we'll never see them gently caress

No hot tentacle action.
And horror reduced to jump scares.

At this point I'm pretty sure that Daniel Radcliffe is deliberately taking roles that will make people crack jokes about the Harry Potter franchise.

He's probably one of the first child actors that is doing films for fun now.
For his own entertainment, not to feed an addiction or regain lost money.

What's the biggest quality drop from teaser/trailer to final film? Suicide Squad? Though that kind of feels like it shouldn't count because the trailer affected the final film so much.

The Phantom Menace.
I still remember the fanfare and anticipation of the trailer, it was only out on QUICKTIME too.
Took a few hours to download, and was mind blowing.

Then, you know the rest.

Jack Bauer hunts The Fugitive on something called Quibi.

Makes no sense to suspect him.
Guy is walking towards the bomb when he sets it off, a few yards after it departs, when you could be anywhere to do so.
The CCTV from miles around would show him no where near the train to set it.
"Shoot him on sight!" that's proper police talk that is!
And everyone's phones going off at once, didn't some other film get laughed at because the same thing happened?

They were turned on when I saw it, and it was like their ratio.
Wonder what was said to make them turn it off.

Yeah.
Both have mouths that are all curves, gape as they talk, dont have pointy thin edge corners.

Hard same, there was just this vibe in the theater seeing that opening night. There were actual gasps during Trinity's rotating-shot jump kick. After Neo said "I know kung-fu" there was some guy who just stage whispered "gently caress yeah". There was no hootin' and hollerin' , just a room full of people who couldn't take their eyes from the screen. There was a feeling of wonder hanging over the entire theater. Best experience I've had in a theater.

I was one of the first people to see it in the UK, my friend won two tickets to a premiere, and as it was my birthday too he invited me.
We were so hyped afterward we walked the 3 or so miles home talking about it instead of taking a taxi.
And my friend was the only one who shouted 'gently caress yeah' when Trinity did her 'dodge this'.

The idea there, I guess, would be that pulling Chris Pratt out of the past wouldn't change anything. Meaning past Chris Pratt could meet current Chris Pratt, because, as far as the regular time line is concerned, he was never removed from it. It's kind of what Avengers did (except where they broke their own rules), where "changing your past doesn't change your future".

Time travel makes no sense, so each movie makes its own rules. But that version is my least favorite way of doing it, because it removes most stakes from the whole "time travel" aspect of it.

The one saying 'living on borrowed time' is his daughter, calling it now. Him going to the future made her want to prepare for it Sarah Connor style.

The twist at the end better be that he ends up stepping into the past portal to recruit the next group of past meat fodder.

And why are all conquering aliens just mini Cloverfield things that don't use tech.
