I have one of the better 3D TVs (4K OLED so it gives full resolution unlike the old 1080p ones, and has the brightness to overcome those issues) and a copy of Jackass 3D. That's all I really need tbh. (And yes - Gravity, Dredd, Jackass are the holy trinity of 3D movies. You really don't need anything else).

Got my copies of Akira 4k and Lake Mungo today. Also got a couple of Arrow box sets; Years of Lead 5 Italian crime films and Weird Wisconsin The Bill Rebane Collection. A good day.

Cannot believe how much better Kingdom of the Crystal Skull looks with the new 4K color grading. The lighting is still absolute horseshit, but at least it occasionally looks like an actual Indiana Jones movie now. e: also, with Return of the Living Dead OOP, I'm really really looking forward to some sort of announcement sometime soon... feedmyleg fucked around with this message at 18:30 on Jun 18, 2021 |

I won't begrudge anyone for liking a movie enough to spend that amount on a blu-ray, but I saw Lake Mungo in theaters a bit ago and it just didn't click with me at all. It was fine, but I don't really get the following it has.

How long did it take? I’ve been meaning to do mine for a while. I think I’m going to buy Howard the Duck in 4K + steelbook, when it comes out next month. I have no particularly good reason, that is all.
