The Crow: Wicked Prayer is actually the best Crow movie if you're looking for a comedic farce from that series, which at this point is all that's kinda left of it anyway. Boreanaz is noticably hosed up in every scene he's in, Hopper is slumming it, it's great.

Does anyone know if the special features disks from the Theatrical Editions of Lord Of The Rings are the same as the "Behind The Scenes" disks from the Extended Editions? They have different disk art, but I imagine they are the same features you'd find from the Extended's bonus disks (either Behind The Scenes or the Appendixes).

The UHD LOTR and Hobbit sets contain no special features from the previous versions.

There are almost as many marvel movies as there are Bond movies, but one of those has been around for 60 years and the other a little over a decade. Disney needs to chill the gently caress out (yes I’m still going to see every one of them).

Again, it's not like they made 20 iron Man movies. It's a bunch of different characters, so you can keep it fresh much more easily than Bond.

CPL593H posted:

I don't give a poo poo about James Bond either but the difference there is that we're not constantly being bombarded with James Bond. They make a new Bond film, like what, every three-five years? There are two or three Disney Marvel films a year. Disney is dominating the film and television industry and we're all worse off for it.
Iron Man himself probably appears in about that many and it's not like each movie is drastically different than the last or has its own vibe. They just repackage the same poo poo over and over again. That's why I stopped going to see them years ago. I'll even admit that I really enjoyed the first and third Iron Man movies but there are just way too many of these things. If you're into them then whatever but Jesus Christ am I so sick of these bland explodey movies just being everywhere always, especially since they're taking up screens that could be showing better or more interesting stuff.

He does not appear in that many. You don't want to actually talk about stuff, you wanna freak out about children's movies no one is forcing you to see, think about, care about, or discuss here, and back up your freak out with ridiculous hyperbole. Just don't watch the movies and calm down. You're also making the same arguments that have been made against mainstream movies for decades. You're just an old man yelling at a cloud. Or a more apt analogy, a first year film student yelling at a cloud. This attitude from people is way more exhausting than any movie.

I'm in Minneapolis and the best buy I go to is the one that's literally in the same block as their corporate HQ, so it's always stocked and up to date, and let me make something very clear for everyone: the movie section is going away. They have less than a full aisle at this location, and it's all Disney and marvel stuff, then just the most basic TV shows and new releases you can think of, in very small quantities. I don't think best buy physical locations are going to be a place to get anything within the next five years, if the company as a whole doesn't collapse.

Crystal Skull appreciation station incoming. I don’t think it deserves the ire it gets. Lots of fun sequences like the Area 51 warehouse, the campus and jungle chases, a brawl in the middle of a colony of man eating ants. Even the nuke fridge doesn’t bother me. Shia swinging with monkeys is about the only thing that takes me out of it. Cate Blanchette chews every scene she’s in as the evil telepath wannabe Russian, and Shia makes a great greaser kid, and it’s a lot of fun seeing Marion from Raiders back with Indy.

It belongs in a museum!

I got a custom avatar here once because someone got insanely angry that I said Crystal skull was "just okay" but "not that bad." They spent $10 and did a Photoshop of Harrison Ford and everything cause of the steaming hot take that a movie was mediocre.

I’m going to screen one of the 3 versions in Dolby Vision for a couple buddies tomorrow. Is there any reason to watch Redux over the Final Cut? From what I read it’s basically the same but with 20 min of stuff Coppola deemed unnecessary removed and he prefers the final cut. It’s all new to me and all 3 versions have new 4k scans from the original negative, so if I’m not missing too much I’ll prob say 3 hours is long enough.

Final Cut sucks major rear end. He removed all the good, interesting stuff from Redux like the USO show but left in all the horrible pointless boring garbage like that never ending French mansion scene. The way to go is still Redux while skipping that scene.
