I have an import Blu-ray of Katsuhiro Otomo’s Memories, which has (as far as I know) not gotten a stateside release outside of DVD. It’s gorgeous in HD but has a weird issue where CG-incorporating segments of Magnetic Rose look like they’re in SD, then quality goes back to staggering as soon as it cuts away. I don’t know that’s going on there. I also own a Blu-ray of the inimitable Polonia Bros.’ Bad Magic sourced from S-VHS, limited to around 200 copies or so. It remains one of my go-to discs for traumatizing people who want to see a bad movie.

There's an unavoidable brick wall when you upgrade your pool size if you were going to swap disks from 8tbs to 14/16tbs ... just the parity striping process to rebuild the array each disk at a time takes forever - can take over a day per disk. So factor that in if you're going to have an emergency "oh crap time to grow this array immediately"

When i grew my main storage array from 8x8tbs to 8x14tbs it took me about 2 weeks to complete it.

Or, if your NAS supports it, just throw on an expansion unit, but that's not on all of them.

The Carpenters are significantly better encodes than the UK discs and are huge upgrades over the Blu-rays. Same thing for They Live and The Fog, which also look fantastic.
Carrie is another 5/5 from the reviews I've seen.

In terms of Carpenters on 4K, it's already confirmed they're doing Assault on Precinct 13 eventually from Deaf Crocodile's 4K restoration. Also a good chance they get a crack at The Thing because Universal let Arrow do a 4K upgrade of their Waterworld set despite already handling a UHD themselves.
