idk how you can play through the kh series and not realize all the batshit stuff is 100% intentional camp the writers do, probably to make up for how sterile the disney worlds have to be to get approved

The heart-darkness-heart-darkness-memories-heart-friendship-sora-donald-goofy repetitions are enough to drive one mad though.

Who cares about where they pee and poop? But she actually said it

I empathize very much with the people in China who don't care about Star Wars and I wish the new movies could flop here in the US like they do over there.

That movie is such a mess. The actress they got for Lara looked like she could have done a good job but they never figured out whether she's gritty reboot Lara who's pulling shrapnel out of her leg and cauterizing it with a torch or quippy earlier video game Lara. Shame.

I loved the first game in the new trilogy. Don't really care for the second game, though; Didn't like the focus on her stupid dead dad (Imma going to be real here, I hate that they wrote out Sam) and they somehow made paramilitary Crusaders incredibly dull. Still really fun to play though. Can't speak on the third. Unlucky7 fucked around with this message at 01:58 on Mar 10, 2020 |

Alaois posted:i don't think any human being on earth actually played the third game in the tomb raider reboot franchise I have! The story's so-so, the gameplay's just repeating the last two's progression by rote (though the level designs ARE fantastic), but the ending is a laughably rushed climax that kills off the Trinity council offscreen via radio chatter, and the big showdown with the man that's been causing her hell since the last game gets a lovely approach-the-turret event that you don't even realise is actually Rourke on the turret until another character is stabbing him in the chest and you're just moving on to get that final boss over and done with. It's fun enough, but I'd give it maybe a 6/10 on the whole. That's a proper slightly-above-average rank, rather than reviewer's "7-10 good, 1-6 are trash" margins.

That moment was pretty sweet.

Watching the success that Resident Evil has been enjoying for largely keeping the same location for its remake, I can't wait to see the next Tomb Raider reboot that actually has two handguns and dinosaurs and all the other stuff that I heard was really neat about the older games. Also front loaded anvils.

I'm sure she'll cope well; fighting dinosaurs and struggling with breast cancer at the same time. A true modern drama epic.

There is an unfair comparison that I like anyway because it shows where the focus was: The original Tomb Raider had 4 weapons with 3 ammo types and 6 or 7 ways to jump from flat ground, TR(2013) has 5 weapon categories with up to 4 weapons each, a currency just for upgrading weapons and 8 different ammo types, but only one way to jump.

More baby boomer television on Nick Knacks, this time My Three Sons, a surprisingly inventive 60s sitcom that none the less is pretty racist and sexist because it's a 60s sitcom.
