Youtube does have an offline downloader thing for your phone... if you own a budget phone in a few picked African countries and India which runs an Android Lite type system for <1.5 GB Ram phones (Which just runs special embeds of chrome running google system sites. If you ever ran twitter lite you get the idea).

They apparently have a problem with child porn getting onto their site, enough to where apple pulled their app from the app store for a period of time. Lesser issue was just the amount of porn bots that crop up if you follow any tags with any kind of traction. Two weeks ago they attempted a ban purge to tackle the issues where (surprise) a ton of artists got caught in the cross fire. They had an appeal process for accounts that felt they got wrongly targeted which seemed like an okay solution but here we are. It seems like a killing blow that will accelerate what was already a pretty big exodus to newgrounds, pixiv, deviant art, etc. edit: correction. the tumblr app is still not in the app store.
