One of the most iconic characters in the history of Star Wars is Boba Fett; a guy who appeared for roughly five minutes in the original movies before dying anticlimactically. But his armor looked kind of cool and he had a jetpack, so that was enough for fans to latch onto him, write novels about him, etc.

I never really understood the Boba Fett obsession growing up, but then again Wedge was my favourite character so what do I know.
