Okay, so that's one Imperial capital ship destroyed.

What about the day after? A month from then? Because a lack of a capital ship hurts for a lot longer than killing one among thousands will benefit.

Exactly, this was the point of the first scene of the film. Poe destroyed one capital ship at the cost of all their bombers, accomplishing nothing, and this was clearly shown and explained to be a mistake.

So what I hear is that Ninja got big off being the big guy to push Twitch Prime loot when Fortnite got it. Kids sign up to Prime to get Fortnite poo poo, then because he's the one reminding them about him they give him their free subs, and supposedly that's what led to him spiking to 250k and then losing a bunch. Second hand information, anyway.

I have no attachment to Thundercats at all and I just looked up what it looked like in the 80s and in 2011 and in both cases it just looks like what I'd expect from a contemporary half-decent cartoon of the time. The 80s one looks like an 80s cartoon, the 2011 one looks like Avatar.

The big pile of taurus demons on the lava plain is especially pointless cause they don't respawn, so there's no reason to engage more than one or two at a time unless you've managed to never pick up a single bow. Having that many there is just time wasting.

CYBEReris posted:

It's not like they aren't there for a gameplay reason, they're guarding a special blacksmith ember in the lava there. It's lazy but it's not lazy with no purpose.

There's no point having so many there though. Two that always aggro at the same time and do respawn would convey that something is being guarded just as well, be functionally identical to the vast majority of players, and look less like they're taking the piss.

The original Pokémon games could pretty much be powered through with just your starter even if you're a stupid kid, but gold and silver have major level stagnation problems in the wild Pokémon followed by massive level jumps in the boss trainers.

These days people actually complain about Pokemon games leveling your whole party too fast for some bizarre reason.

It's more like in X/Y the experience share system was given a huge buff and the game was only half balanced around having the item that makes all Pokémon gain experience from every battle, so if you have it on you level extremely fast and the game is trivial, but if you turn it off the game can get pretty grindy, with not much middle ground. The actual solution is to turn it on and keep a roster of 10+ guys and rotate through them instead of a team of 6, but the game (and franchise in general) doesn't do much to encourage that kind of thinking.

The Yellow Devil is a war crime and I'll stick to that belief until I die.

I know it's not your point but Mega Man specifically doesn't kill any intelligent robots, he always makes sure to leave the bit of them that contains their personality intact. Bad example maybe.

In fact, it’s worth noting that this doesn’t just apply to Saitama. Heroes with actual, no-bullshit superpowers in OPM are relatively rare - most of them are just people in silly costumes who’ve trained hard enough in various martial arts to break the laws of physics to a greater or lesser extent. Saitama is just the most absurd and extreme example.

Saitama's more of a monster, not a human - a pretty common monster origin story in OPM is that they were a person, but they went in so hard on one particular thing that they became a monster themed around that thing. It's a fundamental law of that universe that if you try your hardest, you get superpowers, and Saitama's pretty much just an exercise monster.

Strictly speaking, in Chrono Trigger all of the characters kind of have been chosen, it's only kind of discussed in one sidequest scene but the natural gates leading the party from time zone to time zone aren't a coincidence. They're created by the planet itself. It's showing them its history and the future it wants to avoid, and guiding them to the point that they'll be able to understand and remove the parasite that's threatening to destroy it.

Man it's weird how people like the much better sequel more. Don't they know that it wouldn't exist without the first part? All stories deserve 100% of the credit for everything they're based on imho.

TFA was mediocre at the time but it looked good and was halfway to being a good story so people took the Star Wars they could get, now TLJ is out and blows it out of the water people are seeing how subpar TFA was in a new light.
