oh my god you're right.

Many years ago I loved the old Manga Entertainment dvd trailer thing that was set entirely to 'Ultra'. It probably caused my entire musical taste.

That brought back so many memories of buying Manga Entertainment VHS tapes and getting that at the start. Also made me realise just how much anime I've actually watched.

EDIT: Also the song being from the Chun Li v Vega fight in Street Fighter II Anime.

I'm not a big fan of the whole dress up thing he and Contra do, but I always find their videos interesting. I always end up going away with things to read up on.

I always liked the dress up parts of their acts. I've seen still's of COntra's last video of her as a ring master and Hell Yes! But I kind of wish more people did it for other than social topics.

Yeah, I know I'm in the minority on the dress up thing, people love it, I have no doubt the content creators love it as well and I don't begrudge anyone that does. It's just me being a bit :corsair:

People can be so stupid. I haven't played any of TLOU 1 or 2 so what makes Joel such a poo poo that Jim is happy he died?

The one thing I miss from old Trek that Picard and Discovery seems to lack is where you'd have episodes where the Enterprise was experiencing time differently on different parts of the ship. Does The Orville have stuff like that?

I don't think it has one of those, but it does have an episode about weird random things happening all over the ship.

A couple of episodes almost feel like remakes of original Trek. There's one that feels like a version 'For The World Is Hollow And I Have Touched The Sky' at least.

There's an episode where they land on a planet that's in like a 4 dimensional orbit. They land on the planet with a medieval level society and one of the officers gets mistaken for an angel or deity. Then they realize that the planet is "orbiting time" and will phase out and come back in a few days, but the planet will have aged several hundred years. They leave and, when the planet comes back, the world has a constructed a religion that worships the officer.

Of course, I forgot to mention the season two finale is an alternate timeline story. Bottom line, definitely check out the Orville. The best episode in my opinion is the two-parter where they go to Kaylon.

Thank you and I will try to check it out.

An anime reviewer talks about just how badly Crunchyroll pays its translators. Also some gross stuff by a guy called Ken Hoinsky.

I don't remember enough to find the article, but it was a specific one where the reviewer had overall good reviews of the game but then criticized it for it's portrayel of women. Like, it wasn't even a particularly harsh review it was just like "yeah witcher is a lot of fun but has some problematic parts" and IMC lost his goddamned mind.

e: I've actually basically made this exact post and found the article in question, for those curious what set him off https://www.polygon.com/2015/5/13/8533059/the-witcher-3-review-wild-hunt-PC-PS4-Xbox-one

Didn't a similar thing happen with GTA V where a reviewer said she really enjoyed the game and thought everyone should play it, though the portrayal of women is a bit sexist then gave it 9/10 and people lost their poo poo, demanding she be fired?

I like some of the videos where Slowbeef and Diabetus mock a game rather than the person playing it.
