Anyone up for giving this another go on rr18xx.com? As Panzeh said earlier, it is fully rules enabled, so no one has to worry about keeping up a spreadsheet. It also works really well on mobile. I can dig up the signup activation password if anyone needs it.

Orvin, can you explain what happens when a company you've shorted merges with another company that you have shares in? I presume the shares held automatically closes the short, but I can't find out anything specifically about it in the rulebook.

It took me a while to find the relevant section. Look under section 5.1 about closing out short positions. It basically states that any time you own both a short and a regular share, you return the pair to the open short interest space on the board. It does specify this can happen due to a merge.
