I have always loved looking at urban decay and growth, weeds year in and year out wearing space out from infertile concrete, the constant dance of graffiti and vandalism and small adaptations that add up over the years. Moss growing on concrete, rainwater falling in gutters creating every possible hydronic permutation from falling leaves and forgotten garbage. The constant battle between designers and builders making weird or useless designs, the dance between what a building was meant to be and what it becomes. A patch of moss outside my apartment door contains as much beauty as Bach, as much thought as Kant, as much worth as the people who pass it, in its own terms.
