I had that happen too but the worst part was I just smashed my nail so hard it instantly turned purple. Then it hurt throbbed with every heart beat for hours after with no relief so I had to take a drill bit and drill through the nail and blood spurted out then the bit went into my nailbed a little and hurt but that blood spurt was the biggest relief and felt sooooo good

Anyway the one side of it is still too firmly attached for it to just come off, and I'm both dreading and looking forward to that happening.

In a best case scenario I get trying to de-stigmatise it enough to make people more likely to get like, mental help for it or something, but there's definitely no reason to try and tack it onto LGBT stuff unless your goal is literally just to try and say actually noncing is cool and good. If the goal is to treat it more like a mental health problem then you want mental health advocates, not LGBT groups.

The MAP stuff has always just been so blatant I always assumed the majority of it was yet another way for trolls to try to stigmatize and delegitimize the LGBTQ+ movement. Kinda like how the LGB group or whatever they're called try to use 'LGB, not LGBT' to try to turn people against trans people. But then again this is the internet(and humanity), so maybe I was just naive.  It felt like MAP popped onto the spotlight around the time tumblr did it's porn purge, so I just kind of assumed a part of it was due to the rumors of how it was child porn that caused the tumblrgeddon.

I am so naive about the weird and disgusting ways that paedophiles try to get themselves mainstream acceptance, that many years ago, when South Park had their NAMBLA episode, I didn't know that it was a real thing.
