I remember listening to a podcast on the guy a few years back and not being able to sleep. No other Serial Killer stories have done that to me. it's def nice to know he's some sad old guy that's never gonna see the light of day again.

The reason I've heard that it hasn't been more publicized in popular media, movies and such, is that it's hard to make the story publicly consumable. How are you going to make a movie about a guy who committed 50+ rapes, with some of the victims being young teens? That's a rough movie to make. He's supposedly talking, and there's a good chance we'll find out there were numerous unreported rapes.

What's probably going to wind up happening is they adapt the book that Patton Oswalt's wife wrote and it gets told through her POV, and the story of the East Area Rapist/ Pathetically-Small Dicked Killer basically unfolds through flashbacks as she investigates. Oswalt will probably be a producer or something. I still say they should call it EARONS, though.
