I do see the resemblance, but he also looks just like Jeffrey Tambor with a moustache. I always assumed most of the cast was based on their voice actors, with the exception of Archer himself.

Yeah Trexler is definitely Tambor. I always figured it was a cute nod to Arrested Development to have characters voiced by Tambor and Jessica Walter playing ex-lovers.
