My friend told me that the first episode of Danger Island was like the first one from last season, which was just setting it up for the season-long arc. Problem is, it's clear that Archer can't tell a season-long story worth a drat. Archer Vice was godawful and Dreamland was underwhelming and short on laughs. Season 7 was the last decent one. So I suppose I'll pass on this one. We'll always have Season 2, which is the strongest non-Simpsons season of a television comedy I've ever seen. Speaking of, is anyone ITT watching this just because they think they're in too deep, a la Walking Dead? I just don't get that feeling with shows I was loyal to at one point. I dropped the latest season of Broad City midway through. counterfeitsaint posted:Ha. Of course it was the AV Club. Let's all get in our safe spaces and drink our hot chocolate and prepare for this awful storm.

The ridiculously short episodes are an FXX thing, not an Archer exclusive thing. They did the same thing with Always Sunny.
