Hell even the two, while part of the elite, aren't the top dogs in Gilead society. To blame the protesters for contributing doesn't match what the show has been telling us. There was a large cabal of these assholes. A big part of the show is a condemnation of people with liberal values, but don't go out there and fight for them until it's way too late.
