i surveyed the parking lot at 4 am at the nearby target/king soopers/mcdonalds strip, and there were FOURTEEN vans, buses or motorhomes clearly being slept in. this is in one of denver's few lakefront neighborhoods the housing situation is loving untenable oh half of them are beat to poo poo 87 bagos and the other half are 110k Sprinters

my battery (which they state as giving 10h runtime ballpark) was 49 bucks. a cheap inverter is like 30 if you have a 120v only cpap. under a hundo and you're good for a one or two nighter. add a solar panel for $70 and you can camp indefinitely  stuff's not bulky either. my pack is the size of like 2 packs of smokes (yeah great analogy right) and maybe a pound

ive made a lot of stoves lots of can stoves and also bottle stoves! you can make one out of one of those aluminum Bud Light bottles https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/30011832/ these make good stoves too. bundle of sticks or pine cones or w/e and it'll roast

i'm buying a first gen Expedition this month, i am pretty excited. nice cushy suvboat with big motor and plenty of room for me to bolt up ham antennas and poo poo and go camping in i literally never drive the bimmer any more except for errands, and its made to put miles on at 130 mph which i don't do on 4 wheels. gonna dump it on some kid that wants his 2cool 6speed v8

yeah, $400 on rockauto for brakes and ball joints and it should be in pretty fair shape no matter which one i pick. im fine with wrench twistin. there are dozens around here, i can be choosy gon' put a couple big ham antennas and a winch on it and lay out an air mattress in the back and go chill in the mountains. goal is to make it look as much like FBI SURVEILLANCE VAN as i can
