All credit for this thread goes to known forums socialist Sixgun Strumpet. Thanks for the suggestion Comrade!

For those of you unlucky enough to not yet be living in our socialist worker's utopia, May 1 is traditionally a day of both celebration and collective action to throw off the shackles of our capitalist overlords. Throughout history the working class has needed to arm itself against many forces: agents of the bourgeoisie, counterrevolutionaries, and even members of our own who fall victim to schismatic dogmas. Sometimes these arms are the very tools of the oppressors, built by capitalist agents for fascist regimes and seized by the revolutionary forces of the proletariat. Sometimes they are the products of a new socialist state, the fruit of a loving union between politically conscious labor and the leadership vanguard that guides it with both wisdom and compassion.

Post your communist guns! Obviously we are going to see many fine products of comrades Simonov and Kalashnikov, however many visionary firearms designers have continued to dream the dream of affordable weapons for the masses (looking at you, Comrade People's Gunsmith Butch Cassidy). Post them all!

April is for fools was nice, but I'm now regretting that I didn't think of 4/20 is for Fascists a month ago

On another note, thank you to everyone who sent me suggestions. I got a loving TON of them and will hopefully be able to be lazy and just dip into that well for a bit. If you have any ideas in the meantime always feel free to drop me a PM and I'll add them to the list.

Heh, yeah, 'round here I call myself The Enabler. I suspect pretty much everyone wishes they could be me -- I'm kind of a big deal, you see.

Despite making the suggestion, I only actually have one properly communist gun.

The beautiful, beautiful;

the holster seems to indicate a date of 1982.

Amusingly enough, this is the only gun that I own that may have been built the year I was.

I always forget I have it. A friend of mine bought it and he hated it, so he sold it to me for $100. I'm not even sure I have ammo for it. I'd have to dig. The gun is just one of those that occasionally comes out of the safe and I say..oh yeah I own this CZ thing. What is it again?

I do have Mosins, but they are Finn Mosins, all built on antique receivers. So they are glorious examples of imperial russia, and a state that fought off the communists. Which I think invalidates them from this particular month's topic.

If CZ was still using the same format way back when, that gun may be from 1954, not 1982. See that 54 on the left side below and forward of the ejection port? That's typically the year it was made, at least it is with my birth year Vz. 82.

Yeah the number next to the crossed swords on the frame is the year of manufacture. The holster was probably a later issue replacement for the original, or it's just mis-matched. It definitely looks newer than mine. Is it a Century import?

There's a handful of guns I wish I had that would round out my commie collection, but I have a few things thanks to my dad's inability to resist a cheap gun back in the 90s.

I spent a good chunk of my teenage years shooting this Chinese model SKS almost every week. Hundreds of rounds of steel case steel core surplus ammo destroyed many a clay on the 105ish yard berm at the local range (back when my eyes could do that effortlessly).

My dad is still around, though he's old and prone to tipping over occasionally. That didn't stop him from making a good one inch group with that thing at 50 yards a couple weeks ago. I believe the gun can do it but I'm not sure how he did with irons.

This Russian beauty might only have been taken to the range once. I had to dig it out of the back of a safe.

Also in the back of the safe, a Yugo I didn't know my dad had bought (apparently for $109) still in cosmoline and newsprint. Guess I got a chore waiting.

And finally, a symbol of Chinese firearm excellence recognizable just from it's profile.

I will omit any mention of the group size on that one...

Oh heavens, I just received memo that the Forums of Firearms, upon Somethingawful Dot Com, has a request for pictures of surplus weaponry! Let me show you the surplus of a gentleman of previous centuries past! Forthwith!

This is a gentleman's pocket pistol, circa the sixteenth or seventeenth century. Simply put, there are just so many ruffians and undesirables to contend with during a daily walk about!

As you can see, the Silversmiths at Upshire upon Avon abreast Tippsworth made an error! This old metal was rather prone to a bubble or so meandering about the metallurgy! Oh heavens!

But, as you can clearly view with your own oculus, the marks of the maker are indeed intact! Oh happy day!

It is certainly hard out there for a dandy man of the Alte Schule!

I'm not sure if my SGL-21 counts since its really based more on an AK-103 setup and its made in post-communist Russia, but I'll post it anyway:

(that's with a Russian made PO3.5x21P scope for a Venezuelan military contract, and this next one is with a Venezuelan PK-A scope)

And here it is with all sorts of poo poo attached:

And without:

Now my pre '89 ban Norinco Type-56 Underfolder import probably qualifies (even if its a commercial import):

And here the two rifles are together with some sort of communist pin thing that came with a 40 round bakelite AK mag I bought off gun broker and a piece of the Berlin Wall (this is a pic I took yeeeears ago...at least 7 years ago):

I think my vz.82 also counts as a communist weapon! Even if my CZ-75B SA doesn't:
