Except the whole calling 'a big european war is unlikely due to economics' in 1909. A bunch of economists also stated in the 1st months of the great war that it wouldn't last for more than a few months because it was too expensive for everyone involved.

If you're trading with someone, it means they have something you want. Guess what starts a lot of wars.

Neighbors frequently have things each other wants. Seems like there's only three ways that goes down: trade, domination, or autarky. The latter takes a level of economic self-denial we only see today in remote societies like uncontacted peoples.

I'm critical of the Friedman-esque belief that liberalizing markets means political freedom and international peace, but not because trade always creates a fatally covetous bond between neighbors. The catastrophic result of economic liberalization has been the accelerating wealth inequality with no end in sight, a dooming prospect that keeps raising unrest around the world.

Chomsky makes the point (and I think he's right) that the U.S. military fulfills two roles for the state: 1) to apply state violence, of course, and 2) to fund research into the next generation of high tech. Actually hitting people takes away money from the second objective. So there's at least that opportunity cost.

For the first, productivity gains have not translated to gains in 1st world countries, however that is because those gains have gone to third world countries where living standards have risen and poverty has dropped. I'm not fully understanding your Friedmanesque arugment.

For the second, you are assuming that the military is the only place that those future technologies will come into being and that the private sector is unable or unwilling to do so. The question is if the redirection of dollars to the military actually is the best way to do this instead of increasing research funding at public universities or in the private sector.

I'm not awake or motivated enough to expand on this or correct anything wrong about it.

The administration is a running gag!

It's a classic thing where they plan out a theme, schedule events, and have speeches ready to go, then Donnie opens his word factory and that's that. Seven if they get him to an event, he just meanders around or literally takes the speech and throws it up in the air, calling it boring.

Look inside yourself and you will discover the true infrastructure week.

Incels don't deserve any sympathy cause they think the world (mainly women) should bend to their desires. It has a lot to do with all this "disenfranchisement of white men" that seems to feed all these crazy groups. MGTOW, Incels, proud boys, they're all built off "white genocide" stuff. These people were all creepy loners who kept to themself but now that Online can bring them together and let them share ideas it is getting dangerous
