it's been....man I can't even recall how many years...that I have been legit excited for a Braves season/lineup, this is great

like even if they pick tomorrow to go 10-60 it will still be beyond what I was hoping for, what a fun team

There should be a DH for every position in case a star shortstop hurts themselves while batting or something

Markakis has racked up more WAR this season to date (1.9) than he has in any single full season since 2011. Which is kind of wild, but it's not like he's way beyond his career BABIP norms or anything (career .317, this year .330). I dunno.

If Ender is anything to got by, it all comes down to where they're at in the lineup lol

When cable first started, you had TBS with the Braves and WGN with the Cubs every loving day. It was a renaissance for those teams and probably grew baseball appreciably. At least it was when I first started paying real attention to baseball. And probably others in the boomer gen. as a Braves fan I can assure you it was pretty great

Braves have been an absolute shock this season, I think you'd have trouble finding anybody who would've predicted they be #1 in the NL with one of the most potent offenses in the game right now, especially since like half the roster are still too young to buy beer

N: The Braves are the best team in the NL by a full game and the best team in baseball except for a couple scrub teams in the AL no one wants to hear about. Also Ozzie Albies, who hilariously is listed at 5' 8", is tied for the major league lead in dingers.

V: :staredog:

he's not even a big guy for 5'8", you look at him and you see "bloop single specialist and great at defense" but then you see him murder loving baseballs and it's like, lmao

is Ender still in the lead for stolen bases? I know it's literally every single time with him, even if he gets a double

There is literally no way Albies is 5'8". 5'6" would probably stretch it.

Ender's leading Dee Gordon by 2 and Trea Turner by 4.

boy howdy that's a weird one, but I'm assuming it has some utility in masking

It's common enough that they should be able to show a legit diagnosis requiring it though so I'm assuming there wasn't one? Like they can't really just expect people to slowly die because some drug may possibly help mask a positive test right?

I think MLB.tv should have a retro option where it displays a really bare bones graphic showing the teams and score and inning and nothing else, and make it grainy with one of those filters they use to make dumb videos for garbage songs nowadays

it would go very well with the cranky announcers complaining about modern shifts

This team is a lot of fun

Ozzie's probably running really low on helmets at this point so it makes sense

I use screen2gif but I'm not sure there's a mobile version. As you can see the production quality of mine, captured at 12fps and medium quality then converted to gif then to gifv, is impeccable
