while the UFC is definitely very lovely, the modern-ish trend of refusing fights proudly pioneered by Jon Fitch is also very lovely. with full knowledge the UFC pay structure is absolutely poo poo and fighting is inherently dangerous and all of that jazz, you are still ultimately paid by them to fight people and if you want to keep refusing to actually do that what are they supposed to do? we've already strayed extremely far from the idea of matchmaking that makes any sense.
