How do you switch physical psx discs on a original 60BG ps3 in parasite eve? What I’ve tried so far: - there is no “switch disc” option when you press the ps button -reset the game and lost an hour of progress because there is no save point before the disc switch -pressing eject brings up on the main ps3 xmb -there is no answer on google (spent hours looking)

Try pulling the disc drive out forcefully and swapping discs. The important part is to push the drive back in afterward instead of hitting the button. I haven't seen a PS3 before in real life. tekken 3, metal gear solid resident evil, gran turismo, omega boost, bloody roar, x-files, all over the world come on ridge racer odd world winning eleven the game on the playstation

Have you tried holding down the PS button instead of just pressing it? That's what the Reddit thread I pulled up suggested. Apparently this pops up an expanded menu (possibly a PSX-specific menu?) with a disc change option. I also saw a few answers here and there that said it essentially works like a PSX- you might be able to just eject the disc, pop the new one in, and go back to the game from the XMB and it'll Just Work.

When you press eject it loads xmb and starts the game on disc 2 but doesn’t hold the part where it says “switch to disc 2”. It’s insanely frustrating.

Isn't Parasite Eve one of those games where you can just put in the second disc and continue from there because it has a chunk of the first disc on there? Just try loading up your save with disc 2 in the machine.
