Saw it posted in the comments elsewhere...would the Penguins have had that too many men on the ice goal waved off versus the Caps?

Backstrom is out again tonight though he skated at practice. I think he’s gonna sit till we start loosing games. Eller is playing out of his mind, why gently caress with the chemistry.

I’m mentally prepared for a Caps loss tonight, Tampa’s gonna play like a team possessed come puck drop. Gonna lol if they gently caress it up and Caps win again.

Any nervous Tampa fans?

Burakovsky’s in the lineup on the third line.

When a road team goes up 2-0 in a conference final? 18-1 they go to the Stanley Cup.

The one?

NOT THE CAPS!

But also, seriously: The guy’s diet is borderline inspiring.

We have a chef here who prepares our pregame meals. Ovi always orders the same thing — Mama Luccia, which is this pasta dish that’s like chicken parm with noodles, bread, cheese, the kind of thing you want to take a five-hour nap after eating. He makes a big display of it too. There’s no shame. It’ll be eleven in the morning, way before anyone is really thinking about eating lunch, and Ovi will walk into the dining area yelling, “Mama Luccia! Mama Luccia!” I don’t know. It’s weird, but it seems normal now.

Then, a few hours later, he’s outskating everyone on the ice, knocking guys on their asses and sniping pucks wherever he wants.

No reason to rush him back. And even when he does come back, stick him on the third line. Eller needs to be left the gently caress alone and told to keep on keepin on.

Only three times have the Caps played a Game 7 on the road since 2005-2006, losing two decisions in Madison Square Garden against the New York Rangers, both by 2-1 margins (in 2012 and in overtime in 2015), and beating Boston at TD Garden by a 2-1 margin in overtime in 2012.
