Saw Solo, liked it, not surprised it's not pulling in boatloads of money. Like Rogue One it appeals to the part of me that watches old movie marathons on TV for background noise, rather than the theater blockbuster. In this case, a certain style of westerns. Maul was way too heavy of a sequel hook though, they should've kept him cloaked. There was probably a contractual obligation to get a lightsaber into the movie.

And then after they establish that she lives in the ship now Han just comes along with an "I'll treat her right"

Kind of weird they implied Lando was loving that robot.

Not loving the robot, she wanted to keep it professional. Wanted to gently caress the robot.

Talking about servos acting up. That was referencing a massage, not sex.

Just watched the movie, and I read it as: Lando cares for L3 and occasionally repairs/tweaks her circuits when they're acting up.
She sees it as much more than that and has convinced herself that Lando is madly in love with her and that the circuit tweaking is in fact his desperate attempt at physical closeness / ersatz sex. Her whole "girls talk" scene with Qi'ra smacks of self-delusion.

I would agree on the surface, but his reaction when she went down speaks to his feelings for her being a lot deeper than his "well I WOULD get her wiped but it's not worth the hassle of re-uploading the navmaps" attitude would suggest. Whether he realized that or not before she died is up to the viewer.

Supposedly the weird looking wookiee was a design choice, specifically used to reflect the horrible working conditions on Kessel. Essentially being malnourished and having mangy hair loss.

I wasn't even sure whether they were supposed to be wookies or some similar-looking species that hit too close to home for Chewie to ignore.

Redline but Star Wars would be amazing.

I quite enjoyed the film, though Han's actor was pretty much overshadowed by everyone else. Music was great and pretty noticeable with some of the neat takes they did. I also liked the choral theme.

Also did Lando actually gently caress a droid or what

Unless L3 was lying about keeping it professional, Lando did not gently caress a droid. At least not that droid.

Han definitely had the biggest shoes to fill, everyone else could just be their character while he was trying to fill Ford's big shoes.

Saw Solo finally. Thought it was alright, but the focus in this film, and Last Jedi, on those dice is very very strange. The dice are in one shot in A New Hope and never show up again, and these two movies treat them like they're a central linchpin of Han's character.

So if one train carriage worth of coaxium can blow up half a mountain, how big would the explosion be from a whole train's worth?

Was the whole train carrying it? I thought they had to specifically target that carriage because the rest was full of other supplies like food and guns and other stuff you'd find in a military transport.

Any time you see a headline of "[actor] says they would love to be in [movie]" don't read it as some scoop of secret casting info or the like, read it as '[actor] would like a paying job, thanks."

"Weakest of the OT" even if you agree with that claim, is still pretty drat good. It's not like we have three options therefore one of them must be flawless and one must suck.

I remember having some card game that I never learned to play where “Han’s Dice” was a card

I had that too. Interesting game in theory, but revolved heavily around the rare heroes. Even moreso than other CCGs where the rare cards are better, there would be a bunch of other cards that could only be used if you had a Luke. There were only a couple of trooper-based decks for light/dark that didn't flat-out require the expensive stuff.

I don't know how or why I know this but IIRC Yoda ran to Dagobah because he already knew that Dark Side cave-tree was there and its powerful Dark Side emanations would allow him to hide from the Sith's Force senses. I might be wrong.

One thing I do know for sure is that the little snake that came with the original toy Yoda was dope as gently caress, and when someone was trapped in the little quicksand pit on the Dagobah playset you did NOT want to see that snake crawling towards you.

Not just the tree, the whole planet was strong in the Dark Side (whatever that means) and could mask him. The tree was just one place it collected.
